Can someone please talk to me.

So I’m not really sure what to write but if someone could just talk to me and try to keep my mind occupied right now I’d really appreciate it.

Im at home and I feel really anxious and don’t feel safe but I don’t really have many people to talk to and those I do have are sleeping as it’s the middle of the night.

Thank you my anxiety is calming down slowly. Think I might just be getting worked up over nothing

It is never nothing when you have anxiety. Do not think that. You figure out how to help your anxiety, how to reassure yourself. But it is valid. Don't dismiss it. And reach out - we're all here!

Anxiety is mostly a physical or chemical reaction that we can't control. It's okay to get worked up over something that might otherwise seem small

We can learn to control the thought patterns and reactions that come with anxiety though 😊

some things I recommend for anyone with anxiety-

make a playlist of songs that relax you, or melodies that make you happy/ have comforting memories attached

Make a YouTube or Netflix (whatever you use for streaming) playlist of your favourite cartoons. Maybe some cute slice of life anime with no loud noises or fight scenes. 

Cuddle up with a stuffie of your choice! This one might seem obvious haha

If its available to you, make a hot chocolate either in the microwave or on the hob (I prefer heating the milk evenly on the hob!) Or a cold chocolate milk (nesquick powder is my favourite)

Warm milk is supposed to aid the chemicals that help us sleep 😊

And make sure you're breathing properly. Most of us are breathing wrong from our chest when we should be breathing from our diaphragm.
Relax your shoulders, loosen your neck. Take a deep breath in through your nose for 3 seconds. Hold it for 3 seconds. Then breathe out through your mouth for another 3 seconds.

Then you do it again but increase to 6 seconds. Doesn't have to be exact, but counting to 6 in your head is enough


This breathing technique has got me through many anxiety attacks ♡

Hello

 

When I'm anxious i try to do breathing exercise.  Inhale for 8 seconds, hold for 8 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds, hold for 8 repeat till you feel better.  Or do push ups or run till you wanna almost pass out

I don’t think I can do a push up 😂 I’m not that strong
