Jiya Posted May 5, 2023 Report Posted May 5, 2023 Guysss i need serious help! I am pretty sure a lot of you may own a plush and probably wash it on your own. You see, I have this plushie and I havent washed her in a whiiile and she is turning from white to grey- I dun mind but it is unhygienic. I am just too scared to wash her in case I ruin her. So, do you own a plushie? if yes what is the correct way to wash it + tips?
Guest Runa Posted May 5, 2023 Report Posted May 5, 2023 I've washed many of my stuffies on a gentle wash in my machine and they've been fine afterwards. I would do it on a handwash if possible but I've used silks and wool washes also. Just make sure it's a cooler wash, I've never gone over 40c and I often need an extra spin cycle to make sure as much water it out as possible. Adding fabric conditioner makes stuffies smell so, so fresh! I'm in the UK so that might make a difference when it comes to washing machines.
AlittleODD Posted May 5, 2023 Report Posted May 5, 2023 (edited) I tie mine up in a pillow case and wash in tap cold water on a gentle setting. And he is over 20 years old if that helps you feel any better 🥰 Edited May 5, 2023 by AlittleODD 😮💨 Typos, again. 1

Pinkie69 Posted May 6, 2023 Report Posted May 6, 2023 yep Gental Machine wash. i like to then puff wiv bby powder so they smell good when dry. but the Fabric softner/conditioner idea that @Runaghsaid is an awesome idea too. if u r scared to machine wash u can always hand wash. also the pillow case/ clothes bag idea that @AlittleODD suggested is a good idea too.
