Does anyone else feel 'too nervous' to feel small?

Its something I do a lot, I'll feel small but I try not to in order to keep total composure. Anyone else do this and why, I'm trying to find out why I do it.

If I ever feel nervous about being small I just curl up in my Daddy's lap and bingo, instant comfort and smallness. 100% effective cure.

Have you noticed a pattern of situations you feel that way more than others? Could be that you don't feel comfortable with the people around you or a place you're at during those times so it's your way of protecting yourself?

I do that too! I think for me it stems from not wanting to give up control of my actions (even to myself). Maybe cause I feel i'm supposed to act a certain way *shrug* im not sure of the cause but i know its related to control and unpredictability

All of the time. I agree with littlesparkpony about having trouble giving up that type of control of myself, but it's also a mix of feeling insecure about it and being under a lot of stress all of the time. This is a problem I'm still actively working through and haven't found any solutions.

I've been thinking about this lately. I have always had the tendency for certain behaviors that (as I've learned) most people think are not acceptable. It comes naturally to me, but because I've been 'punished' in the past, I've learned not to do them. Now I get nervous even when I'm alone because I've trained so hard to suppress it. It's like a Pavlov response.
