If anyone can reply to this with some cheap date ideas in florida my daddy and i really enjoy nap dates and music and drives

Well cheap dates can go to the park. Park that car there. Best would be one that had a hiking trails, nature, and animals at it. As it is more a conservatory. Downside you cannot be there at night. I know I use to date at movie theatres but those theatres have gone up in price. It is no longer as cheap. It is just a place where you can be romantic also. No one will bother with lights out. A drive through the mountains too can be nice. N ow I live in Southern California. I have mountains nearby, beach nearby. Go to the desert to also. Although I don't like the desert much. Your wetland area of Florida can be an Idea. Just an idea.

Kinda depends on where in Florida.

Drive down to the coast just before sun up and wait for the shrimp boats to come in. You'll know they are on their way by the gulls getting active. I always liked that. Good time for photos as the sun rises and the gulls fill the sky. Sunrise is also a good time to snuggle in a car.

Picnics or hiking.

Find somewhere to lay on a blanket and watch the stars.

Take out a map, yep a map, and circle an area that could be done in a few hours or however long you are up to driving. Close your eyes and touch the map. Wherever your finger lands you research anything there is to do there. Search for odd landmarks or strange sites or interesting tourist spots. Then plan a day trip with music from local bands if you can find any and just enjoy a day of random fun.

If you are near an airport find somewhere to park so you can see the planes taking off. Not too close, they get touchy about cars just chillin too close to the fences lol. Lean your seats back and as a plane takes off talk about where you think they are going and what all there is to do in that place. Or imagine you are on that plane and say where you wish it were going and the things y'all could do there together.

Since you're in Flo., fishing or crabbing shouldn't be too expensive. Not sure what y'alls licenses cost.

Go to a nearby university and hit the campus. Maybe go to the library and check out all the book. Or find that secret makeout spot that every library has and enjoy a few stolen kisses before you get caught.

Ice creams parlors and snowcone stands are also a fun way to spend time and not that hard on the old budget.

I hope some of these ideas are useful and that y'all have a great time whatever you choose to do.

@shadowrider brings up lots of good ideas and suggestions. I’m from Florida, and I will say there are a lot of hidden things all over the state. From the tip of the keys, all the way to the panhandle, there is so many options. What I’ll share is from my time exploring in my youth but is also now things I’ve considered for possible dates with my significant one.

First, the beaches! Florida has so much Beach and they can each be unique. Whether it is the type of sand, to the depth of the water, to the surrounding atmosphere. There are tons of new places to discover just by going to a different beach. You can plan anything from a picnic, to a bbq, or hit the local watering holes. Some beaches have history. There are a few where you can find shark teeth in the sand.

Next, the springs and national parks. Florida is littered with them. There are tons of fresh water springs and national parks that have history and hiking paths that take you away and into a green wonderland. You can get some kayaks or canoes rented and explore down the rivers. There are also tours in some that will share the exploration of those areas. There is also a springs where you may catch a glimpse of some Florida Mermaids 🧜‍♀️. It can be magical.

There are a trove of hidden gems all around. Between Tampa and Orlando, there is a drive-in theatre that still operates with the latest films. There are botanical gardens and butterfly gardens, airboat rides, historical sites, and small museums. Doing your research is one good step. My greatest advice is to go off the beaten path, and to do so, talk to the locals. Don’t ask where you should go. Ask them where would they go. They will know the area better and what’s great than what you can find online alone.

Depending on which part of Florida, I can suggest a few things, but this is the best overall advice I can give.

Here would be a cheap date idea if you owned a boat in Florida. Take it out. Have a meal on it. Enjoy The sight along the coastline.

A cheap date idea could be to do things like:

-Make song parodies about each other

-create a scavenger hunt around the house with hidden love notes

-pillow fort and movie

-karaoke date

-charades where winner gets to decide what they want to do to you for the night ;)

-create comics for each other

-make playlists for each other that reminds you of your partner. Take turns showing each other the songs on the playlist and explaining why it makes you think of them. maybe at the end, create a combined playlist that showcases your relationship.
