Why does stuff have to be hard?

Hi *shy wave*

Last year my Daddy died and I've been healing and trucking along..... Now I've started dating.... I've had a few dates had a great time although I haven't found anyone that I've clicked with.... Honestly though I've been crying again lol since Monday. Does anyone have experience with dating after a loss? Will it always be like this?

First you have my deepest sympathies. I have never had to deal with loss due to death but after my ex wife left, it took me some time to deal with it. I can tell you that it will not always be this way. But your daddy will always hold a special place in your heart. Given time you will be okay. You will learn to live with the loss. I cannot promise you how much time but I can tell you it will happen. And when you find the right one, your new daddy will understand your loss and will be there to walk you through the rough days. May all your days be filled with joy and laughter.

Sorry for your loss. It is hard after a loved one dies to move on and find someone new. It takes time to rediscover who you are outside of your relationship and what you need moving forward.

You will get through it and find what you need. Sometimes you will meet good ones and other times some troubled ones. But keep the faith and dream of what you want as you will make that happen. :)

Thank you all for your kind words.

My Daddy (yes forever mine) will always hold a special place in my heart and I had a feeling dating would bring tears although I'm not exactly sure the reason. I suspect though it may be more that I'm moving on and starting a new chapter, which is sad because it wasn't anyone's choice to have the last chapter end. The pain is less and it's a normal accepting sadness.
