BADN #1

Note: This story will be ongoing for several months. My plan is to post at least twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. There may be more postings in between. Each post is designed to be one or two pages in length, making for easy readings.

This story will have humour, adventure, romance, and maybe a little spanking. My hope is that it’s a fun bedtime story for littles and their Daddys.

By A Different Name

Carly was soundly asleep until a knock rattled through her bedroom door. She jolted awake and heard her father's voice.

"Sweetheart, are you still sleeping? Don't you have class in 30 minutes? You can’t miss your first day of College."

Confused and disoriented, Carly groggily managed to pry open her eyes and glance at the clock on her bedside table. It read 8:45am - her father was right, her morning class started in thirty minutes! She immediately threw the covers off of the bed and scrambled to get dressed. She picked up her phone, but it was dead. She smacked her forehead in frustration - she forgot to charge her phone the night before, so her alarm never went off!

“Maybe I can make it,” Carly said franticly as she hastily put on clothes. She hoped the shirt she chose was clean. Flinging open her door and quickly running through the hallway, she heard her father call after her.

"Sweety, remember your lunch, and wear a jacket!"

But she didn't have time for those things, she had to get to the bus stop!

"Daddy I don't have time! I'll see you later!"

She thought fast - what was the quickest way there? Her regular path was down the street, however that was about a 10 minute walk. Carly decided she wasn't taking the regular path; she had started taking a shortcut through North Creek Park a few weeks ago. It was a few minutes faster. She picked up her backpack, grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter, and bolted out the front door.

As Carly ran through the park, a leaf flew up and hit her eye and she stumbled, tripping over her own feet. Her trusty reflexes hadn’t done enough to save her. There, lying on the ground, her legs sore, Carly could have sworn she heard a noise that sounded somewhat like a chuckle. She didn't have time to ponder what the sound could be, she got up and began running again.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Carly reached the bus stop. Panting and exhausted, she glanced at the bus schedule. There would be no Bus #44 for another 15 minutes! Carly let out an exasperated scream that echoed off the nearby houses. She sunk to the ground and slumped against the bus stop sign. Her late nights spent playing The Sims had finally caught up to her and now she was sure she was going to miss her first class.

Gathering her composure, Carly decided she had to make the most of the situation. She stayed at the bus stop and did her breathing exercises to calm her mind. She made a promise to herself - no more video games past 10pm. She had made similar promises before, however this time she was certain she meant it.
