Guest Enchanted_MoonFlower Posted December 24, 2022 Report Posted December 24, 2022 I'm not sure if I'm the only one who dyes their hair different colors. I've been doing it for years now. I've done it red, teal, purple, violet, fushia, hot pink, magenta. The brands I've used we're: Manic Panic, Special Effects which sadly discounted, Arctic Fox, Adore Hair Dye, Lime Crime, and a few other brands that's not coming to me at this moment. I always use lots of deep conditioner and products to keep my hair healthy and from falling out. Who else dyes their hair? If you do, what color do you generally use? What's your favorite hair dye brand? Next month I'm dying my hair back to magenta, it's probably one of my favorite hair colors I've used on my hair. It always comes out great!
Little kaiya Posted December 24, 2022 Report Posted December 24, 2022 I typically dye my hair some version of pink or purple. My stylist is going to do the pan flag for me next Pride so pink,, yellow and blue stripes 😁 For dye brands I don't really know as I leave that to my stylist. She often mixes different colours to get just the right shade for me, she's super awesome 💗
Stine Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 I don't dye it, but I make synthetic dreadlock extentions... My hair doesn't react well to having being whitened, plus I can change the colours quite easily. 1
Sloth Fairy Posted December 25, 2022 Report Posted December 25, 2022 I have highlights in my hair and I buy different coloring conditioners for temporary colors that showup nicely in the highlights. Right now I have a red color. I'm thinking of getting purple. It washes out after three or four washings. I forget the name of the one I have.
Winnie89 Posted July 6, 2023 Report Posted July 6, 2023 I've been coloring my own hair for a few years. I like using Strawberry Leopard or Arctic Fox, these brands have worked well for me. I prefer colors like purple, pink, red. Various shades of reds and purples are where I stick to. Pinks when I need a slight change. It being summer now, I wont dye my hair because I love to swim and pool water strips almost all of the color out the first time.
Ghost1031 Posted July 6, 2023 Report Posted July 6, 2023 I dye my hair at least once a year. Usually blues or purples and my favorite brand to use in the ion color brilliance dyes cuz the blues never fade out all the way 😁. My coworker offered to help dye my hair a really dark purple the next time i dye it 😊
Winnie89 Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 I've tried blue, the downside for me is that no matter the brand, the blue will come off on everything. Wet or dry hair, my fingers and clothes are constantly getting stained blue so I gave that color up. It's something to do with the color itself needing more pigmentation than other colors and that causes it to bleed worse than others. Read that online somewhere when I couldnt get my hands to stop coming away from my hair stained blue.
MiddleBoyBlue Posted July 8, 2023 Report Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) I dye my hair blonde, and it definitely fits into playing as a little for me. My hair is really particular so I just go to a colorist twice a year and let it grow into tips in-between; my hair is short. It started as a whim but I like how I look with it and my Daddy likes it too, win/win. The person I go to does a great job and it consistently comes out a perfect golden/straw blonde that I occasionally maintain with purple or blue shampoo. ETA Whoops didn't realize this was an older thread but I guess since others posted recently... Edited July 8, 2023 by LiddleBoyBlue
PixieGirl Posted July 10, 2023 Report Posted July 10, 2023 I'm always changing my hair colour. I've had every colour of the rainbow! I mix different dyes to make my own colours sometimes. It brightens my mood when I'm feeling sad. At the moment my hair is pinkish red 🥰
