baby_bubble Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 I just had this thought and HAD to write it down to be honest. Are there any DD/lg dynamics here who enjoy an educational side to things? Of course as a little I enjoy colouring, watching cartoons etc...But I also LOVEEEEE being taught new things. Maths, spellings and simple things like this really help me to regress and they're simply fun to me. I had an old Daddy/Caregiver who would make me weekly timestables sheets for me to complete in return for stickers and it was just so much fun!! Bubbles < 3 5
Vampiress Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 This is something I think I would enjoy a lot, as I love when people take on mentor roles with me. However, I have not really been exploring my little side for a while now as I have too much stress that has been a major road block to even bothering. Maybe someday if I get back to it more fully. 3 1
Sloth Fairy Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Maybe if it was science or maybe english, like reading assignments. Math would a punishment lol. Instead of making me write lines my caregiver could give me math. 🤣 Edited December 11, 2022 by Sloth Fairy 1 1 1
Skeezix Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 I would probably enjoy being mentored. As someone with a learning disability I often got special modified assignments, but rarely did I have anyone to actually sit with me and make sure that any of it sunk in. It's hard to catch up by going slower, you know? A lot of the things I would like to learn are also kind of daunting. It would be awesome to have someone to learn with, even if they aren't an expert themselves. Anybody want to teach me to sew? That also sounds like something that I would enjoy, on the mentor side. I've unofficially tutored many people over the years and it's an awesome experience to see someone have an epiphany about something they have been struggling to wrap their mind around. I'm also constantly explaining how things work and sharing random facts. 1
LongTimeMe Posted December 11, 2022 Report Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) There are many phrases which match this discussion, but I truly believe we should never stop learning. ("A day without learning is a day wasted."), even if it is just something small. I think that the most important lessons show the progression of ideas into practical implementations that go on to be part of our everyday lives. The most important lessons for daddies, mummies and care givers: Always allow your littles to ask questions. ("A person who asks a question feels a fool for 5 minutes, a person who never asks a question is a fool for the rest of their lives.") If you don't know the answer say so and you and your little can discover the answer together. Edited December 12, 2022 by LongTimeMe 2
