Yes, I really enjoy sewing! This year my main project was making fleece liners and pads for guinea pigs I help care for.

No, but I've always wanted to learn. I have a sewing machine in a box somewhere, but I have no clue how to use it. 😕

I do a fair amount of cosplay so I sew some of my stuff. I've done clothing from patterns but mostly I like to upcycle regular clothing to make into my costumes.

I do my own adjustments (taking in the waist, doing a hem if something is too long, buttons, anything simple with a needle) and I have always wanted to learn how to make something from scratch!! I am a bit intimidated by the sewing machine XD actually hubby got me one and I have yet to give it a try, what is the easiest thing you recommend to start with?

I see a little bit. I forgot how to use my sewing machine though and want to take some classes to relearn and hopefully get even better. I’m also working on taking up embroidery

I sew old clothes into pillows and hew clothes. I love handsew

It's been awhile since I hand sewn anything I use to make pillows out of old clothes

I like to sew! mostly I just alter stuff, but I've made some renn faire garb (and every day clothes inspired by garb).

 

I'm really bad at following paper patterns though, so if I can't eyeball the thing/mark up my fabric with chalk I don't do it. it's a horrible habit lol but ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ there's a reason I don't do anything other than simple mending for friends lol

That's still better than me I can't draw so I don't do pattern I just follow the outline of the clothes I'm sewing

oh yeah same, like if I'm making something from scratch I'll trace a piece of clothing I already own that's approximately the correct shape, and then once I cut it out and baste it together, I can refine it. It's kind of sort of technically how you'd use a paper pattern I guess?? but I don't sew complicated things so ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Me either. I use to do potholders with the grid and I want to loom

oh man, me too!! those were so much fun. I have a tiiiiiny loom that's i think meant for little wall hanging tapestries, but I'm currently trying to weave a narrow band instead. the whole project has been in a bag for like 6 months so that's how well that's going 😂 weaving is a lot of fun though

Have you tried the circle with the hook I always wanted to do that as well
