Your favorite disney movie?

Right now I am kind of into Aladdin and Jasmine and also Ariel in The little Mermaid. 

What's your favorite disney movie?

Hm... that's a tough one.

I'd have to say Mulan and Brave!

I love it when female protagonists aren't just treated as a fragile little doll that could break in an instant. Give me some back story, some character! Come on! 

Aladdin is super fun, too! ☺️ 

P.S.) Snow White is one of the worst things to happen to this world...ugh!

Haha that's okay @MelissaOfficinalis I like fragile dolls too! My favorites are probably Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Tarzan, Treasure Planet... It's hard to pick just a few haha!

I have multiple movies that are my favorite, I have to go with the classics, " Snow White " Cinderella ", and " Sleeping Beauty, Aurora" . I personally don't see them as fragile dolls. I choose to see them as submissive women, who at the end of the day endure their hardships and find their happy ending. 

Some of the older classics also like "Bed, Knobs and Broomsticks", "Mary Poppins", and Peter Pan as well! 

The newer classics I love are: Brave, Rapunzel, and Mulan. Anna, Elsa and Pocahontas.

Tangled is my number one pick. Followed by Aladdin but I prefer the live action version. Next would be the original mulan I hated the live action version and then princess and the frog. Also the little mermaid isn’t too bad and the live action beauty and the beast. I hated sleeping beauty but I hated Snow White even more. I have a lot of favorites🙈

Jungle Book, the animated version. Real-life remake wasn't bad, but music was pretty meh on the remake.

Well, that's exactly my point. You CHOOSE to see them as submissive women. Which they definitely are, don't get me wrong. 

But there's a fine line between submission and cowardice. 

And most of them aren't even WOMEN! Snow White is 13-14!! She's barely a teenager! Tragically, she gets "saved" by a 30-something ಠ⁠_⁠ʖ⁠ಠ.

I don't have any problem with enjoying classic movies and their beauty. But you have to admit that it instills such a toxic mindset in children! That they are little, tiny and helpless princesses who, GOD FORBID, can't learn how to defend themselves. That's problematic.

Snow White gives off immense misogyny and you cannot refute that by saying she was just "submissive". Because that's not submission. That's a 14-year old girl constantly getting exploited.

Women don't need to be saved. NO GENDER needs to be saved. We can very well save our ourselves.

My favourite is Planes: Fire & Rescue. I'm pretty disappointed that they never made the third Planes movie.

I've never really been into the classic princess movies. The Little Mermaid is good and I like Mulan, but anything involving a comma is a pass for me.

Are we counting Pixar in this list? If you want to make me cry, just put on a Pixar movie. I can't even stay dry for five minutes if you put on Up.🎈🏠😭

OMG, PIXAR! I can’t. Every single time they bawling. The beginning of Up, the ending of Coco, BING BONG! 😭😭😭😭😭 But also ❤️

I love old Disney - Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Fox and the Hound 😢- but I also love the new direction they’re going in. I am Moana and Merida and a combo of the Madrigal Sisters. Plus, the music is so good

I like the old, dark Disney films, like Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Sleeping Beauty. 🐘 🎪 

Aladdin and Alice In Wonderland are also favorites. ♥️ 🐇 ♠️

My all-time favorites are Mary Poppins and Beauty & the Beast.  I watch Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Returns nearly every single time I have a bad day and need to feel better, and I listen to the Beauty and the Beast story soundtrack before bed a couple times a week at least. ☺️ 🥀 

My favorite Pixar film is Monsters Inc. 🚪🌸 💜

I looooove Tangled omg it’s my favorite! But also I like Mulan a lot but nothing is better than tangled for me hehe
