Status updates?

I did send a message to a staff member to ask about writing a status update, because i'm confused about how to write a status update, I just joined here, so i'm new here, hence why i'm asking. 

If someone can explain to me how to write a status update, since I don't see a option listed in the profile menu to write a status update then that would be helpful, thanks.

Are you using mobile or a computer ?

I'm using a laptop.

You can do this 2 ways.

1. Go to where you see Recent Status Updates

Below that it says What's on your mind?

Click that and give it time to load. It will open a box for you to write in.

Then click Submit Status

Sometimes it takes a while and you may have to reload the page to see it.

2. Go to the top of the page where you see the Bell and Envelope.

To the left you will see Create.

Click this and a drop down box appears.

Select Status and type away.

Click Submit Status.

It says about status updates but i'm not seeing anywhere that says what's on your mind anywhere where you can type a status so i'm confused.  

For the drop down menu it doesn't say about status updates the only things listed are topic, gallery image and event.

I discovered something useful -> Edit profile -> Enable status updates? (below your birthday) 

I disabled them without noticing (tbh without reading it 😅)

That could explain it. I'll check on the back side and if they are off I'll kick them on for you.

Thanks for everyone's help I appreciate it, now it displays what's on your mind? for writing a status update. 

I wasn't seeing it when I wanted to write a status update, but it's fine now  😊
