Yeah they fell apart but that first half and the constant attempts and excellent defensive plays… I’m kind of in shock. Canada, is that you? 😂😂 It was SO WEIRD see our flag on the field. 🤣

I still think the ref made some lousy calls (I hate wondering which ref is driving a new Lamborghini 🤣🤣🤣) and our guys lost steam but I don’t have to ashamed! Yay! 😂😂

@beanbean I’m sorry about Costa Rica. 😔 I didn’t see the match but I heard that Spain played a stunning game.. so it’s okay to lose to them, lol.

I love when the matches are both stunning and unpredictable. The Spanish match was a slaughter, but beautiful. Canada did themselves proud, but Belgium is kinda always a bit unsung.

I sure hope no one bet on this WC,as the predictable is turning out to be not so...which is all the fun. I'm already nervous for tomorrow.

 

As for watching it in Spanish? Of course! My 1st batch of footie friends are are native speakers so that's just how I learned. That said, I also have a group of friends that we love to make fun of how bad the US commentary is!

Random question, watch the WC this time of year is weird, right? It's not just me?? I mean I get why, but it's messing with my footie traditions.

@gigisweetheart I didn't think it was going to be as strange, but it sure feels odd to me. I'm used to waking early and even bad commentary, but this. I'm going to blame The holiday overlap.

And mostly I think I miss my friends. ( It's easier for time off in summer) We always have big watch parties. Also, I'm used to getting a new shirt for my birthday and this isn't even my birthday season.

this is very true not having it in the summer is kinda strange.. for sure i get why they did its the world should be involved but yes weird

As for tomorrow, 🇺🇸vs.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 matches are always such fun. The US has beaten England before and the match has loads of hype stateside. However, given the play for this particular WC my heart is with my Yanks, my head is with the Lions.

I still can't believe that Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia ... Makes me glad I stopped betting on soccer.
