Keeping warm during winter !

A lot of my cardio is spent outside and with winter coming up by the mountain , it’s been way too fucking cold to not wear either ear muffs or a beanie of some sort. 
 

Wearing beanies for too long gives me a massive headache , the pressure on my ears creates a lot of pain as well and just makes my ears and head hurt. It’s way too fucking cold to just wear my baseball cap and not all of my puffer jackets meant for freezing weather have a hood. 

I hadn’t been able to find any decent ear muffs in person at stores so Dad told me to look up a couple options on Amazon to try. 

I found some ear muffs that seemed reasonable , so I ordered those and will post them when they arrive tomorrow. 

BUT BUT BUT…. in the meantime the other thing I found showed up ! I’m so excited I could shit a brick. It’s basically a hood / beanie that’s loose , a scarf , and mittens all in one ! The quality feels amazing , it’s warm and super fluffy and only wearing it in the house for like five minutes I started getting really warm so I know it’ll work great on my walks. 

Not only that , but it’s cute as fuck ! As soon as Big Brother saw me in it he chuckled and said it was cute. It’s black cat themed so I’ll match and blend in with all the cats I see on my walks 🥰

Earflap hats that double as scarves at the best because they keep the wind out so well. 🧣🧶 This is my trusty one that I made over 10 years ago. I opted out in making the mitten pockets as I like my hands-free carrying stuff (with gloves on of course). The pom-pom I added for fun because you gotta have something silly bopping on top of your head for others to see!

The first scarf I made that was the start of my knitting obsession 15 years ago. I was living in Idaho where the wind is harsh and very cold. 🥶 The yarn is 100% wool, and I made a beret with wrist warmers to match it using the Harry Potter colors. ❤️ Wool is ideal for keeping body heat in even though it is itchy. That's were layers of softer fabrics come in. The scarf is 7 feet long (not including the tassels) to wrap nicely around my face and neck with plenty to spare. Super WARM.

This isn't my longest scarf, however, stay tuned!! 😉

Layering will save your life one day ! 
 

I prefer my legs stay cool so I just wear my spandex leggings , but I always have thick socks on and my chunky thick boots , sweater , hat or beanie , ear muffs , then a puffer or waterproof coat over everything. 
 

This is the first layer 😅 I feel like a video game character with chunky boots like this.
