Guest LilBitz Posted November 18, 2022 Report Posted November 18, 2022 I’m curious… What’s on everyone’s Thanksgiving dinner menu? I love all the different ways people celebrate, and how different the menus can be, from table to table. 🥰🍁🦃❤️ Our Thanksgiving Dinner Menu: - Cornish Hens - Green Bean Casserole - Mashed Potatoes & Gravy - Sage Stuffing - Soft Buttery Rolls & Cinnamon Butter - Cranberry Sauce - Chocolate Texas Sheet Cake - Pumpkin Pie What does your Thanksgiving dinner look like? 🍽️ 🦃🥘🍁🍂
Boomer Posted November 18, 2022 Report Posted November 18, 2022 How is a Texas sheet cake different from regular sheet cake? Thanksgiving Meal: - Turkey - Mashed Potatoes - Sweet Potatoes - Stuffing - Homemade Gravy - Canned Cranberries - Green Salad - Zucchini/Yellow Squash or another vegetable - Pie (this year I am going to try to make a pumpkin pie with a butternut squash I grew!)

I was born in Texas, and raised in Oklahoma, often going back and forth throughout the years. It’s just what we call it here. Some people will argue that sheet cakes originated in Texas. Some say it’s called that because the sheet pan is huge… “Texas sized”! Others say it’s having pecans in the melted icing. ::shrugs:: No clue. That’s just what everyone calls it here. ☺️
Married_Lg Posted November 19, 2022 Report Posted November 19, 2022 I can’t cook well so my hubs and I take turns going to our parents houses. This year it’s my in laws. I think the menu is… -turkey -biscuits -broccoli casserole -corn -potatoes -apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies -green bean casserole -homemade stuffing (my favorite) …this is very much a “meat and potatoes” type of family 😂 but the food is delicious!! 🤤
Guest Kates37 Posted November 23, 2022 Report Posted November 23, 2022 It's just myself and my mom this year. Since it's just us we are doing an easy spaghetti with tomato and meat sauce and garlic toast for a lunch. I'm driving to her place and I want to be home before it gets dark. I don't like driving in the dark, lol.

I don’t like driving in the dark alone, either! 💜 Spisghetti and garlic toast sounds yummy! 🍝🖤😋 We picked up our pumpkin pie and chocolate sheet cake from the bakery today. I’m about to start prepping for tomorrow. I have to make the cinnamon butter and cranberry sauce tonight, along with a dozen deviled eggs. 🥚 😈 Hehe!

My mom use to make that when i was a kid. I've made it a few times, but it's been awhile. I use to cook everything homemade also. So, i understand your stress! This year we're taking the easier route. I'll be fixing roasted chicken and the regular fixin's. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, and rolls. Not sure what Will be for dessert yet. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! ❤🦃

DaddysMonkey Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 Vegan pumpkin pie for dessert , thanks Dad ! 🥰
shadowrider Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 I would so put that cutlet and that cranberry sauce on that roll and be in slider heaven.
Andriel_Isilien Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 I made a veggie turkey for my guinea pigs to feast on and my sugar gliders got the wishbone of the Thanksgiving turkey. 2 1 1
Erasmeus71 Posted February 9, 2023 Report Posted February 9, 2023 Only problem my family has not been getting together even for thanksgiving dinner these days. A turkey. Mash potatoes, stuffing, apple cider, yames, Green bean casserole. A pie but with diabetes running through family the sugar stuff is been deleted.
littlespace_cadet Posted November 23, 2023 Report Posted November 23, 2023 Hope it's okay to resurrect an old thread... I do more of a "Friendsgiving," and we always get Chinese food 🤭

mittendaddy Posted November 26, 2024 Report Posted November 26, 2024 Picking this thread up again: What's for dinner? I will be cooking for my elderly mother and she doesn't eat much so we are having turkey burgers, sweet potato tater tots, some stuffing, and a pie. 1
