Dad Clothes

Hey everyone,

I was wondering. There's so many clothes for littles and middles, but what about dad clothes? Like obviously a nice suit, but what other things would fit the category.

When I think of Daddy clothes, I think of anything my Daddy wears… period. I want to steal his clothes because they are bigger than mine and make me feel small, and they smell like him. I love wearing his hoodies, or one of his big t-shirts to bed. I guess I don’t think of particular clothing pieces that scream “Daddy”, so much as seeing the clothes he actually wears as being “Daddy Clothes”.

I think just about anything could fit into the category of “dad clothes.” LilBitz sentiment is nice as well, perhaps each little/middle will have a different idea about what clothes remind them of their Daddy.

What lilbitz said… but also… Flannel! I love seeing a big strong daddy in flannel! Sucker for it this time of year especially.

On the show Blue Bloods, Tom Selleck had this cardigan that he only wore when relaxing at home.  Everytime he wore it, I thought, "DADDY!"  Maybe because he was in uniform for most of the show and it felt intimate to see him in comfy clothing?

My middle S loves my clothes.   After I retired, I donated all my suits but one, and have a blue blazer that I will wear as needed.  I do clean up quite well.  Have two pair of loafers that I love. One is a well worn pair of Santoni loafers, the other is a pair of Gucci”s.  Other fav shoes include Adidas sneakers. Like Levi’s and of course sweats. Probably my favorite clothes would be shorts,  T-shirts, sweatshirts, and sandals. Outdoor clothing would be a Columbia shell jacket, Canada goose jacket, Mocs,  and Timberlands.

S has taken a number of my shirts, sweatshirts, and flannels. Her favs are my Amnesia Ibiza and Bob Marley tshirts. She loves my scent and the smell of my clothes.  I don’t tell her, but sometimes after doing her wash, I will lightly spray some of the the tshirts and flannels with my Polo Blue. It drives her wild.

I'm going to 100% YES! Agree with lilbitz. I'm just like all the others here. I love the idea of wearing my daddy's clothes! Button ups, hoodies, tshirts. It makes you feel cute and smaller, but it also gives you a sense of belonging ( which is huge to me.) Those are MY daddy's clothes and I'M the one wearing them...yes please!

I'm also going to agree with Cebakes. Scent is huge. I've recently gotten into fragrance as a bit of a hobby. Scent is huge in the memory making process. I've always loved "man smell" and colognes. (My friends even tease me.) If my daddy did something like that for me. Well, I think I might just love him even more.

This made me laugh, I remember asking this question some time ago, do I need to wear anything special, no Daddy clothes are Daddy clothes 😊😊

When I think of Daddy clothes or just “caregiver” clothes in general - I think blue collar.

Dad and Brother both do concrete for a living and there is something about them both coming home in tattered up blue jeans or Carhartts , a filthy originally white but now stained tore up t shirt and their boots…. :3 Mhm. Flannels also fall into this category for me.

Outside of that , Dad and brother have totally different styles. Dad likes to be a bit more dapper and looks like a typical middle aged man trying to be hip… Khaki shorts , vans shirt and shoes or a button up shirt with like Miami coke dealer dad vibes. Brother dresses more like myself , somewhat grunge with vans also , Lurking Class brand shirts , basically a Zumies model boy style.

I agree with above replies that I just want a caregiver to wear what matches their personality. They can wear whatever they want - even socks and sandals 😇 As long as it’s who they are.

Nothing beats dirty blue collar men tho… at least for me hehe.

I would say a nice suit above everything, but nothing says more dad than a Hawaiian shirt.

Look, I get weird looks sometimes, and I don't do it often, but I feel feel so hawt with some suspenders on regardless of the rest of the outfit.

So anything with suspenders is my answer.
