Flame wolf Posted November 16, 2022 Report Posted November 16, 2022 Hiya everyone, about a month ago I ordered my first paci, and I finally got it yesterday, and For lack of better words I love it. This is the first "little" item I've ever bought beyond stuffies , and I'm so glad I got it. Popping it in and snuggling my stuffie Is Honestly the most calm and relaxed I've ever felt. I honestly did not think I would enjoy it as much as I do, In fact ill probably have to refrain from popping it In too much cuz I'm worried about my teeth. I've always been a person that chews and sucks on everything from my phone case to bottle caps ,so thanks to this paci many bottle caps will be spared XD. That's all I've got to say, just wanted to share my enjoyment. I honestly can't wait till I have my own place and can indulge my Little side more as I honestly think it would benefit my mental health. Anyhow that's all, thank you all for reading my dumb poorly worded little spiel about my new paci 1 2

I know what you mean 🥰 It's so simple but does so much! I bought my first paci about a year or two ago. I like it so much even though it's simple without decorations. I am a chewer too and have to wear a guard at night to protect my teeth. I'm looking into chewing bracelets or necklaces so that I can fixate on something safer besides grinding my teeth. Congrats on your new little gear! That's so exciting 👏
pumpkinKat.224 Posted Tuesday at 02:56 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:56 AM I'm interested in buying my first paci, but I don't know how to go about it. I'm wary of ordering one from online because I am living with my family and REALLY do not want them to find the shipment lying on the porch. That said, I've heard mixed opinions about buying ones meant for 18-36 months olds from a store like Walmart. I've heard that they can damage teeth, but I've also heard a few contradicting opinions. But also, in the case that I have to order one from online, where do I start?! There are so many options and choices, and I'd like to avoid buying multiple just to find the right size. There aren't many reviews that I've found, and the prices on some websites are much higher than I was expecting. I need a method of purchasing a good paci that is discreet, relatively cheap, and safe for adult users and their mouths. Any advice would be much appreciated!!! Thx 🙏 ❣️

Thx 🙏 ❣️ ** Please keep in mind that I'm not a dentist, but am speaking from both personal experience and research. If you do come across any issues with your teeth while using a pacifier, it's always best to consult your dentist. The problem with pacifier reviews is that everyone's mouth/teeth/jaw is shaped slightly different. So while I might find something comfortable, you might try it and hate it. However, there are still a few things to keep in mind when buying them. How hard and for how long you suck, is what causes tooth/jaw problems, not so much the size. Adult pacifiers can cause just as much damage to your teeth/jaw as the small ones can. Just like how sucking your thumb can do damage. I have a smaller mouth and have noticed that adult pacifiers make me feel like I'm gagging, but my thumb feels like a perfect fit. For context; adult pacifiers are slightly longer/wider than my thumb. I'm a bit on the smaller side, being only 5'. But little pacifiers still do hurt my teeth, after extended use. So I try to avoid using them longer than 30 minutes per session, if sucking harder than normal. And am sure to take several hours break in between. Just loosely holding it in my mouth seems to be fine, if I'm not also chewing on it. So, my suggestion is this; if you think you have a smaller mouth, you could try a smaller pacifier first. They're much easier to come across in stores. Just make sure to not fall asleep with them in, or use them for extended periods of time. And be sure to give your teeth/jaw breaks, regardless of what size you get or how hard you suck. As for discreetness; I'm pretty sure that places like Amazon/Etsy send it's smaller packages in unidentifiable fedex/ups/usps boxes most of the time, but it's been so long since I've ordered anything, that I'm not 100% sure. As for other sites, I can't really say if they're discreet with packaging or not. Wishing you all the luck at finding your first paci! Edited Tuesday at 04:12 AM by .คℓ𝐞メเᏰααα .ᐟ
pumpkinKat.224 Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:30 PM Thank you so much!!! I just went and bought one today and it's definitely cleared things up for me. The one I got today is for 16+ month olds and fits pretty well. I see what you mean teeth/jaw hurting depending on how hard you suck and for how long. I'm 5' 5", and I suck my thumb, too, so I figured I would need a medium sized adult paci, but I see now that my assumption was wrong. Thinking about it, I don't think I'll be able to handle a paci that's larger than a size 6 for adults. 1
.คℓ𝐞メเᏰααα .ᐟ Posted Tuesday at 11:57 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:57 PM @pumpkinKat.224 Of course! More than happy to be of assistance~ If you've got any other questions, feel free to ask me and I'll answer to the best of my ability.
Baby Manda Posted Wednesday at 12:25 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:25 AM I just noticed this post and wanted to share my experience. I do have a smaller mouth and when I started using a pacifier a couple of years ago, I did struggle with a sore mouth and jaw, but I really enjoyed the comfort of a paci. I struggle with restful sleep and snacking and I knew a paci could help, so I tried different sizes, shapes of pacifiers. I found a size 8 adult pacifier was good for me during the day or for punishment (I have to be quiet for a certain length of time when needed). I bought a FIXX size 10 that worked really well for sleep. It took practice, but I really love it now! I sleep so well and my paci stays in my mouth all night! No more nightmares and I wake up feeling well rested and focused, usually. I also bought a cute paci clip to connect the paci to my onesie at night. I do have smaller size 6 adult pacifiers, too, but my mouth kinda hurts when I use them. I found the bigger pacifiers actually cause less soreness than the smaller ones. I just ordered an Enigma pacifier, it should be here later this week!!! It's completely different than the others I have, so I'm looking forward to the experience! Most of the pacifiers I have now are ones you can replace the part you put in your mouth. This way I can have a cute paci fir a long time! Sometimes I chew through a paci quickly, other times a paci will last a month or two! It depends on how much stress is going on in my life. Bonus note... I've been to the dentist a couple of times and the only thing they've said is that my teeth look better coz I stopped grinding them at night...😆 I do brush, floss, mouthwash before my paci usually... 1

Please update when you get your enigma! I’ve seen them and have been curious about them. I don’t generally chew my pacis (not because I don’t want to, cuz I def do, but cuz I don’t have spare nipples) so that’s not really a concern, but I’m definitely looking for a comfy one to help with some facial strain and twitches I’m dealing with after my TBI. I’ve read they are designed more for therapeutic uses than the traditional adult baby ones. Bonus points for pics-just kinda curious about size and shape that you got and what your thoughts are on it. Excited for you! New pacis make me SO happy. 😁 1

I'd like to be able to sleep with and suck on a paci for long periods of time without getting sore. So far, I've been able to use mine for maybe 20 minutes before needing a break. I was on Pacifier Addict a little while ago and saw the enigmas. I hope you enjoy it ☺️ 1
pumpkinKat.224 Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:15 AM Okay, so after looking back at the nipple size for size 6, they are just a little too big for me, I think. However, I did find LittleforBig gen 2 pacifiers, which seem to be a little bit shorter in length. Do any of you have experience with these? 1
Baby Manda Posted Wednesday at 02:26 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:26 AM I have several Gen 2! I love them! Plus I buy them on Amazon and ask for discreet shipping, so they come in an Amazon box! Most of my little/baby stuff I order that way! It's awesome!

I'm super excited to try the Enigma, too! I've wanted one since I first saw them, and it was on sale! I ordered 2 new FIXX 10 pacifiers too! I can't wait! I actually budget for my baby/little stuff. I found that it's a need in my life not something I do only for fun, so I added it to my budget and put things on an Amazon list so I can watch for sales! I'll get some pictures later of all my pacifiers!!! 1

I had been budgeting for it last year when I was in a stable position with my income, as it is also a necessity in my life, but until I start working again (come on May 5th!!) I’ve had to make do with what I had on hand. I did splurge at Christmas and got two cute new shields, which came with an extra nipple but unfortunately they’re not like my Gen 2s. They’re definitely more cheaply made cuz I can feel the seam on the sides of the nipple which I absolutely hate. 😖But they’re freaking adorable, so I deal for now. lol can’t wait to see pics of your collection! 1

Baby Manda Posted Wednesday at 04:59 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:59 AM (edited) Here's my Paci collection! Care Bare, Puppy and my Crinkle Toy jumped in the picture too! 😆🤭🤣😂 I labeled what size the pacifiers were, but that's the nipple size... I buy standard adult pacifiers and switch the nipples to the size 8, because the shield works for both. The FIXX size 10 are all around bigger... bigger shield and bigger nipple. This picture shows the sizes side-by-side fir reference. Now I have pictures of each paci in my mouth... they all feel different... the size 6 nipples I have to suck on to hold in my mouth... it makes my mouth hurt more after longer periods of time. The size 8 nipples don't always work the best at re-inflating when I suck on them... I like them because I can chew them a little and they go back on my tongue further, so my throat does more work than just my lips. I can also just hold it in my mouth without sucking. I do get a little bit drooly with these sometimes if I don't suck enough. The one without a handle is new! First time I'm using it is tonight!! The big FIXX 10 are my favorite! I could use these all the time! After a day or two I usually have a new paci "broke in" (softened up) so I'm comfortable with it and these go in my mouth and stay there! I even have a paci clip, but I wear it coz it's fun, not coz the paci falls out. My stuffie co-stars for the photo shoot are Care Bear, Little Foxy, Puppy, and Little Crinckle! My wardrobe is Care Bear onesie by LittleForBig! Let me know if you have questions! I also do sippy cups, baby bottles and undercover bottles (is it a bottle or not?????) I use baby dishes, plates, bowls, utensils (spoons, forks), diapers, onesies and I just ordered my first bib!!!!!! BabyManda Edited Wednesday at 11:30 AM by Baby Manda 2 1 2
Aikko Posted Wednesday at 05:12 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:12 AM OMG YOURETHE BEST!! I’ll edit tomorrow with more but before falling asleep just had to say thank you and you’re adorable! I love the size reference and how they fit in your mouth too. Thank you so so much!!! 1 1
Baby Manda Posted Wednesday at 08:13 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 08:13 AM (edited) I was super tired taking the pictures... sorry I was falling asleep! I used the paci without a handle - the purple one all night! It was ok... no FIXX 10, but ok. I didn't mention that I clean my pacifiers regularly. I sometimes brush them with my toothbrush aa I'm brushing my teeth or I spray them either my antibacterial dish soap, let it set for a minute or two and scrub it off, rinse and air dry. I used to throw them in the sink to wash, but they got water inside and it was gross 😝! Edited Wednesday at 11:36 AM by Baby Manda
pumpkinKat.224 Posted Wednesday at 12:43 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:43 PM You guys are so helpful, thank you!!! It feels so nice to ask all my questions and talk to people about my little side. All my real life friends are very religious and conservative so I can't talk to them openly about a significant part of my life. I'm so grateful for this forum because it allows me to be myself ☺️❤️ I think my next purchase is going to be the gen 2 if you've enjoyed them. I try to budget, and I usually do pretty well, but (this might sound silly) it's getting near the time that I realized I'm a little, which was a big discovery for me. I was kind of depressed and couldn't control my anxiety very well, but my little is a way for me to relax and love myself 😍. @Baby Manda you're so cute! I love your unicorn paci and the cherry paci clip, it reminds me of my favorite nightgown that has cherries all over it 😁. I bought a metal bottle off Etsy a while back, and I've loved it. I've thought about buying more things like bibs and plates, but I also have to remember that my family is nosy and has almost no sense of privacy. I've been careful and quickly rinsing the paci that I have and so far so good 👍🙌 1 1 1
Aikko Posted Wednesday at 12:53 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:53 PM @BabyManda okay, now that I’m awake I shall respond! lol you’re so stinking cute all sleepy with your pacis! 😻 I definitely clean mine with hot water and dial. That way it stays clean cuz uh yeah. Slobber and drool anyone? 🤭 I love the larger shield of the gen 2s and the way it feels on my lips. The smaller shields are okay but they need to have a longer nipple to suck on it or tongue it properly for me, hence why I was curious about the enigma. The one on the far right of the size comparison I LOVE. That was the first one I had but I bit the nipple and it got air in it so it doesn’t inflate anymore. 😭 I should really just buy some replacement ones. It was so soft and the flat on the bottom against my tongue and the rounded part against the roof of my mouth was so satisfying. Daddy bought me a paci clip from Etsy with my nickname Pookums on it and I definitely need it since my pacis fall out almost immediately after falling asleep. Your cherry one is so cuuuuteee! 💜💜 Gahhhh I love this thread. It’s making me feel so little and I love it! I hope you lovely ladies have a most beautiful day! 1 1
pumpkinKat.224 Posted Wednesday at 12:58 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 12:58 PM Yes, I love the bubbly feeling this thread is giving me 🥰. You have a wonderful day, too! 1 1 1
Baby Manda Posted Wednesday at 09:55 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:55 PM @pumpkinKat.224 @Aikko Thank you for the compliments! 😊 I love my pacis ❤️ they really help me feel little! pumpkin, I'm sorry you have such a tough time in real life, but i really do understand. My community is super conservative, too. The whole county is and I live in a state that pretty conservative too. We actually have laws about not working or opening business on Sundays... it's been difficult to be myself in real life, but here on the forum I am free to be myself and it is wonderful to be accepted! I have lotsa tips and tricks, if you want any help. I don't know your little age, but one thing I do to feel cute and little every day is wear onesies under my clothes. I buy on sale (cheaper) body suits to be more modest. It's a good reason in conservative circles, but it also helps me feel little. I wear cute socks since I'm the only one who sees them. I use baby lotion to protect my skin... it feels wonderful, smells great and I can always say I'm buying it for a friend/neighbor/co-worker/random person who had a baby. Someone is always having a baby around here... The small dishes are for when I babysit other people's kids. (Which doesn't happen any more, but I still have the dishes). I've also said it's for portion control...to be healthier!
Baby Manda Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM My box arrived today!!! As soon as I can I'll send pictures!!! I keep trying to sneak away and try my new paci, but then I'm needed to do something boring like laundry, cook supper, dishes! Uggg! Why can't I have an Encanto house! I'll just sing and everything will get done! Mirabel!!! You are a genius! 1
Baby Manda Posted yesterday at 05:29 AM Report Posted yesterday at 05:29 AM Ok here's the pictures of my new Enigma paci!!! Super love this!!! Gonna sleep with it tonight and I'll let cha know in the the AM how it goes! 1
Aikko Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago I LOOOOVE IT MANDA!!! 😻😻😻 do you like it? How’d it feel with the length and stuff? Looks super soft and comfy. 1
Baby Manda Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago @Aikko i love it! I was overwhelmed by the size when I saw the box, but it fits soo much better than anything else I've ever used! It took me a few minutes to figure out how to hold it in my mouth coz it's really different, but in a good way... the regular paci just kinda says in your mouth behind your teeth the Enigma you hold in your mouth with your lips and tongue... it's super nice coz it slips in and out easily like a bottle does...this is the first paci that made me drool, too! I slept with it all night last night and loved it! The FIXX 10 goes in line with the back of my teeth. The Enigma goes back further to my doft pallet on the roof of my mouth (if you move your tongue on the top of the inside of your mouth...where the hard spot turns soft is where the Enigma hits my mouth... so it's deeper in my mouth, too, which I like. The shield part sticks out away from my lips and face a lot, so that's different, too ... I think it would be nice to try as a paci gag...add something to hold it flat to my face... my other paci gag is the other style and I love it, but it's not really big enough to be a consequence... it does remind me to stop talking and makes me experience my feelings... Overall 5 stars outta 5 stars! I just wish the pink Enigma had been on sale instead of the green one....😢
