Guest Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 So I know the title is a bit confusing, but i wasnt sure how to title this 😅 In this topic, I was hoping to give you all a place to show glimpses of you, your family, your culture, what is special that you grew up doing. We as a community are trying to expand to include more holidays, celebrations, cultures, etc on this site, and I wanted to give you all a place to show glimpses of this. I wasn't really sure how to phrase what I meant, but the amazing articulate and smart @Vampiress was able to. Post thing that may be special to you culture or family like traditional regalia, special objects, or heirlooms. While some people may not know where they are from so maybe something sentimental or an heirloom in the place of that. Ok, now I know many of you may be asking "wait, but i dont have a picture of this specific thing", thats no problem! Explain what it is, the significance of it, what it represents in your culture and if it was a part of specific trandition? Or what if your like "wait but im not part of any culture, I just grew up with a random family and we made up our own traditions... can I not post?" Of course you can post!! And maybe you will even find other people who are like "hey we do that in our family and its part of this....." I just want us to share pieces of ourselves, learn about each other and find connections we never thought we had. The only caveat I have on this topic is please please be respectful of each other we all come from different backgrounds and what one person finds perfectly fine may be outside the norm for another, its ok to ask questions, it is not ok to all out judge or demean another human being.

In the house of Monkey , this is the perfect time of year to get some holiday cheer going. We have a record player that I bought Dad and we really like listening to records rather than more modern ways like just your phone and speakers. We went to the record store and I found really good deals on Christmas classics , this weekend we played them 🥰🎄🎅🤶 Does anyone else have family record player nights or like having Christmas music days ? We do this as well! I love classic Christmas music, especially. The Christmas records I have are actually from my childhood. They were my grandmother’s records. 🥰🎄🎁 When I get really depressed, or sick of the long, hot summers we have down here, I play Christmas music to make myself feel better.
