Vampiress Posted November 2, 2022 Report Posted November 2, 2022 These photos are from a trip I took to Anchorage "The Sleeping Lady" or Mount Susitna, info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Susitna Some of you may have heard of Alaska being the land of the midnight sun. During the warmer months of the year you can still see sunlight past midnight, just as during the winter months it is dark all day. This photo was taken near midnight. 1 1 2
Vampiress Posted November 2, 2022 Author Report Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) Photos I took on a trip to Sitka, Alaska which is where my clan and family is from This rock was installed by a relative of mine The inside, before the dancers came out Eagle at the Raptor Center (they do rehabilitation) Some totem poles from the Totem Park The one below is the oldest totem brought to Sitka Bears at the Fortress of the Bear (bear rescue) From the Russian Orthodox Cemetary. Alaska used to be owned by Russia, so Russian Orthodox religion is not uncommon in Alaska. I am not Russian Orthodox so I cannot answer any questions about it, however. The Princess' grave: I will skip posting graves of my relatives and ancestors to maintain some privacy More from Totem Park Tree growing on top of tree I am from this clan, and the above totem is at the site where this rock is at Crab Raven memorial pole Gaanax.adi/raven crest pole. Trader legend Yaadaas crest corner pole. Raven shark pole Slug in the totem park Kruzof Island Bowls made out of fish skin at a workshop Wild ravens I was feeding Edited November 2, 2022 by Vampiress 1 3
