Sloth Fairy Posted September 2, 2022 Report Posted September 2, 2022 I have cute stress ball toys and a chew necklace thing for when I'm anxious; an extra soft blanket; and stuffies, my sloth Sal is my favorite one. 2
Little kaiya Posted September 2, 2022 Report Posted September 2, 2022 I have a variety of comfort items but I'd say the one item that brings me the most comfort is my day collar. I've worn it 24/7 for years now and if I'm ever stressed I just stroke it for a few minutes and it reminds me of my Daddy, our relationship and our unconditional love. 1
Curiousbabyy Posted September 2, 2022 Report Posted September 2, 2022 Stuffies, a cute weighted blanket, and twinkly lights✨ 3
Littlemiddle Posted September 2, 2022 Author Report Posted September 2, 2022 Absolutely adore sloths and yeah I have a lot of pops and things that you want to anxiety really is a pain in the tail.... We've looked into collars just have not found one that looks discreet enough but definitely on my list of wants.. I haven't tried the weighted blanket yet but I've heard a lot about them 💗 2
Andriel_Isilien Posted September 2, 2022 Report Posted September 2, 2022 I like feeling weight on me so a weighted blanket to wrap up in is my go-to. I have a calming down jar (quart sized) and I realized that holding it on my chest while I lie down is very comforting. Then of course are the stuffies 😁 2
Andriel_Isilien Posted September 3, 2022 Report Posted September 3, 2022 6 hours ago, Littlemiddle said: What is a calm down jar I saw them become popular for children in schools when I worked with teachers back in the day. When you shake up the jar the solution mixes itself up and slowly the glitter settles. This is meant to calm down an overactive mind be it from ADHD, anxiety, anger management, etc. It takes several minutes so it's like a time out but one that you can enjoy, not for a punishment. This jar is excellent for something to focus on so that you can reset yourself. These are jars mixed with water, soap, clear glue, glitter, and food coloring. You can easily find DIYs tutorials on YouTube, Pinterest, or even with a simple Google Search. I have even seen some age regressors make these in a baby bottle that they then seal off. Any container works as long as it is clear enough for you to see the details of the glitter or confetti. 1 1
Littlemiddle Posted September 3, 2022 Author Report Posted September 3, 2022 Oh I've seen these before just didn't know what they were called
Guest Posted September 4, 2022 Report Posted September 4, 2022 My comfort item is usually my pillow, i keep two pillow cases on it so that I have more corners to rub and cuddle. Even my daddy knows to not use it when we go to bed, so that I can snuggle it throughout the night if I need it. I also have stuffies that I like to snuggle as well and can take with me out of the house.
smolratbabie Posted September 13, 2022 Report Posted September 13, 2022 One of my stuffies is my main comfort item right now. They are a pastel frog from build-a-bear and I sleep with them every night !! They feel safe and I take them with me places when I’m particularly anxious, too ^^
Shibi Posted September 15, 2022 Report Posted September 15, 2022 Blankets, pacifier, and I have this one Pikachu stuffie from Build-A-Bear about a year ago from now! She’s been my absolute favorite stuffie and the greatest cuddler ever!! I usually curl up in a ball with her nestled in my arms
