LeftyGuitar Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 Hi all, I was recently looking around and noticed that MDLB isn't that well known. I mean there are some things on the web about it, but its pretty niche. Do you guys think if MDLB was more known, would more mommies show up? To me it just seems much lesser known than DDLG. 1
LoverEcho Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 I don’t think that it’s not well known it is just less represented. DXlx is already on the smaller side compared to other kink and bdsm type dynamics. When you combine that with less women identifying with a dominant role, you end up seeing less mommies in this community. 2
Married_Lg Posted August 19, 2022 Report Posted August 19, 2022 I have a kink-babybro, and I brought this up to him once. The funny thing is, although DDLG is more popular than mdlb/mdlg dynamics… among ABDLs?? Tons more boys than girls. While I get that isn’t exactly the same kink as a power/caregiving dynamic, they’re so often linked together it’s probably worth mentioning.
Curi0us Posted August 20, 2022 Report Posted August 20, 2022 I don't see it often and I know no youtubers who are mdlb. Mainly all ddlg. I feel like I actually see more mdlg and ddlb than mdlb. It just doesn't seem to be very popular. Kind of a shame since I am also part of mdlb. 1
beanbean Posted August 21, 2022 Report Posted August 21, 2022 i just think there are less mommys then daddys sadly , hopefully it changes at some point
LittlePupRune Posted August 25, 2022 Report Posted August 25, 2022 Something that comes up, is the fact that there is a stereotype around women as dominants, and so some may not feel comfortable exploring beyond the "femdom" category. Also, there are those who don't advertise themselves as being mommies because they do not want to be inundated with littles desperate for a mommy. Unfortunately there is a prevalence of pushy men and thus many women dominants deal with a lot of negging and fetishization and objectification and so are not as willing to put themselves out there when looking for compatible partners. 4
