Your Dream room.... what would you have in it?

I am in the process of starting to pick up stuff for my little room and that had me thinking I need help with brain storming so my question to everyone this.

 

Top 10 things is a must for every little/middle's dream bedroom?

For my playroom, I’ve always envisioned an area for all my favorite toys, a toy box, a cute bookshelf related with a show I like and tons of golden books and nick jr books and lots of books I like on it, a dresser for my little clothes, a special bed, things like that.

I also have specific things that i want like a car rug and a little tikes table for drawing and arts and crafts and whatnot 

and a space for all my stuffies!

✨Fairy lights are a must or at least something to give low lighting in your room (night light, salt lamp, candles)

✨Stuffies stuffies and MORE stuffies! You can never have too many stuffies

✨Blankets. Any kind that you find comfort in. I have a weighted blanket that I always sleep with

✨Laptop, tablet, TV, or whatever device to watch cartoons and play cute music

✨A dedicated corner like a nook to do coloring, reading books, playing with toys, or simply to be little. I use the inside of my closet.

✨Decorations using cute decals on the walls, your own artwork, photos of things that make you happy, make a mobile with stars and moons

✨A shelf or box to hold all your little gear not just to be tidy but for display so that you can always see them

✨Pillows, just like with stuffies you can't have too many

✨Lotions of your favorite smells to bring back good memories or to start making new ones in your space

✨Comfy clothes like pajamas, fuzzy socks, night shirts that are big, onesies, or whatever outfits that you can chill in

 

Something I would love to have is a princess canopy over my bed. I like the feeling of being enclosed in a small space and a canopy would feel like I'm in a fort. It's on my never ending to-craft list 😄

love all those ideas and you could diy a canopy really cheapy I did it for my nieces room when she was younger need like a few things

YES!! I have been seeing ideas like that on Pinterest. You are the coolest aunt making that for your nice! I have been getting the materials slowly for my own. I'm just hesitant in putting a hole in my ceiling.

you can always use a command hook no hole required just get one that holds like 10 -15 lbs

Howdy howdy howdy 🤠 

I’ve moved a lot in the past ten years , and knew I wasn’t going to have a dedicated room for my space for quite a while so I never truly invested in the things I really wanted besides basics like stuffed animals or maybe cute posters here and there. 

Most of my middle space room preferences were things that I didn’t have the freedom to do in a rental space , like painting my walls crazy colors or building my own wardrobe into the walls the way I want them.  Now that Dad and I have bought a house about two years ago , the fact that we *own* the home means that I can do whatever I want 😎 and it’s really nice to have my room the way I want it because it’s not just a space for me , it’s my actual room where I spend a lot of my time and sleep. 

I’ve slowly painted , set electronics up where I want them , built the wardrobe. I’m still working on putting a couple things up that I currently have , but all in due time. 
This is what my room currently looks like : 

 

 

^ This is my vanity area for make up and skin care , I like being able to have a view and open windows for fresh air. 

 

^ Customized built wardrobe thing that Dad helped me put together and install. 

 

^ My TV can turn in different directions so I can be anywhere in my room and still see it. I need to put up shelving for all my Legos and things I’ve built. I still also need to hang some adoption certificates from Big Brother and a customer of mine for my Wombat and Tamarin monkey stuffies. 

 

^ The white panels on the wall are nanoleaf lights , Big Brother got them for me for my birthday this year. They sync to your phone and can listen to music and play light shows.

My room is a little messy right now to my standards , but it’s slowly becoming what I’ve always wanted it to be. I need to get some floating wall shelves , and a couple of normal wall shelves for me to put my lightsaber on among other things like my guns. I really dislike clutter and feeling like I don’t have enough open space , so a lot of floor space in my room is usually open for activities like having all my legos all over while I’m building. I also still need to put up my glow in the dark star stickers , but ever since I got the panel lights I’ve been uninterested in them. I plan on adding more light panels and adding to the design I have , as well as getting new curtains cause my neighbors definitely probably see me naked sometimes , and need much more MHA pictures and art.

Yeah , it's a lovely place for a nap or watching a movie. It feels very cozy and comfy especially during the winter when I can get all my fur babies into the blankets with me for cuddles.

Oh I like it the darker colors hmmm never thought of doing a darker shade but you have made me think even more sooo many ideas.

so amazing!💃 for my top ten  i would have space painted on the ceiling (glow in da dark), a space themed night light, at least 9 stiffed aliens, a space or alien themed bed, a spaceship themed desk, space or alien themed city painted all over the walls, a boom box or something for my music(x-files theme a must) and a spot for my little gear. a robo pet? yisss!!!

My dream room would be the pinkest sparkliest nursery ever. It would have really soft fuzzy white carpet, fairy lights all around, a crib changing table. Play pen, and most importantly fluff corner. The fluff corner would have a  few giant stuffies, a lot of lil stuffies  , a bunch of soft blankies, and pillows,  a soft giant bean bag, a shelf with books and games for the ds vita and switch, a few night lights, and finnaly a canopy top.

I’m always making and redesigning my dream nursery!! I hope one day I get to enjoy such a fun space!  Some of my dreams include a changing table, a stage to play on, an inside slide or swing, a crib….just lots of fun for my little side

I've never had a dedicated room, but I always imagine what I'd like to have. Part of my headspace is relaxation. I've been known to call myself princess of the sloths and I'm cold natures so cozy is always part of my vibe. 

Twinkle lights.

Candles 

Lots of blankets and pillows 

Stuffed animals 

Reading nook 

Music (huge part of my headspace) 

Color- I tend to associate each relationship with a color so that would depend.

Wardrobe for all my "middle" clothes/costumes.

I wish that my closet was deeper so I could turn that into a little space area with a Lion Guard blanket, a few pillows with Disney characters on it, a mound of stuffies, and a little container to put my paci and sippy and plate and toddler silverware. Ideally it would comfortable enough to nap in, and it would separate from my big space room.
