PigtailPrincess Posted July 5, 2022 Report Posted July 5, 2022 Hello all and welcome to Pigtails Playpen! It is the forums official Book Club!!!! Here we will read and discuss books with our fellow readers! We are really excited to open this up to all. For now the rules are simple and hopefully everyone adds to the charm of this place rather than taking away. Everyone has different views but we can all respect one another. For now we are considering our first read and I thought what better way than to ask all of you for suggestions! A couple guidelines though. For now it will be a short story. This is for several very good reasons. Mainly it means it will be more inclusive. We will not be reading a book for months so new people or others who just found us will only have to wait a while to join in. This will also hold people's attention because I know some of us can lose focus. Besides being a short story just try to consider the title and remember it should appeal to a lot of different people. So let's hear your suggestions! I also have a list I am collecting so I will pop in and suggest too. After we compile a list I will pick 3 or so with the most interest and we will hold a vote. So start suggesting and be looking out for more posts! Also follow the club if you havent already. Yours Truly, Pigtail Alright start chiming in with your short story book suggestions! Can't wait to hear them all! 2
WesTex Posted July 5, 2022 Report Posted July 5, 2022 I hope this is a good choice for any Daddy and his little girl. DaddyDomless - Juma 🍄☁️✨🤍 - Wattpad 2
PigtailPrincess Posted July 6, 2022 Author Report Posted July 6, 2022 Thank you FATHERMAN for your suggestions. I am still not sure if we are aiming for a kink original or another form of short stories for the first book bit I will definitely add this to the list. My first suggestion is one I havnt read called The Lottery!!! I didn't research too much because I didn't want to spoil it. Keep the suggestions coming! Don't be shy. 1
WesTex Posted July 6, 2022 Report Posted July 6, 2022 Oh, The Lottery is excellent. Shirley Jackson if I am not mistaken. If you ever want to a nice gothic short story, I would love to recommend Polaris, The Cats of Ulthar, or The Outsider by H.P. Lovecraft. Very good stories. Polaris and The Outsider make me a little melancholy though. 1
PigtailPrincess Posted July 7, 2022 Author Report Posted July 7, 2022 FATHERMAN - Thank you again! Love all the suggestions. A little melancholy is ok. When we all vote on a book I will choose 3-5 titles from suggestions, and try to make them all different. Then I will type up a little blurb on them so people know what they are getting into. Hopefully this will allow everyone to participate. Just another plus of short stories. We can get alot more variety.
LoverEcho Posted July 8, 2022 Report Posted July 8, 2022 I’d like to recommend Agatha Christie’s Within a Wall to add a mystery to the mix. 2

Andriel_Isilien Posted July 9, 2022 Report Posted July 9, 2022 I'm a Redwall fan. The author is Brian Jacques and one of his short stories I love is The Great Redwall Feast. I remember when my family got a copy with the cassette tape of him reading it. Jacques does all the voices and it's like a story time that puts me in littlespace 2

When you said it I was thinking of how long the other books in the series are. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will look into it for consideration. 2

Lol Haha, that’s okay! There’s so much to read it’d be impossible for someone to have read everything, even well-known writers! I do highly recommend giving her works a read if you find the time. 😊 2
