Ddandlittle Posted July 7, 2022 Report Posted July 7, 2022 I do all the cooking except every so often I let my little girl make chocolate chip cookies. She makes them oversized just like I like.
ProvUnitV Posted August 15, 2023 Report Posted August 15, 2023 (edited) I made apple snicker salad for the first time in my life, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delightful it turned out. The combination of crisp apple slices, chunks of Snickers bars, and creamy whipped topping created a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. It was like a playful dance of sweetness and crunchiness in every bite. The caramel and chocolate from the Snickers added an indulgent touch that contrasted beautifully with the fresh fruit. This newfound recipe will definitely have a special place in my repertoire of desserts. Edited August 16, 2023 by ProvUnitV
Guest DarkFantasy Posted August 15, 2023 Report Posted August 15, 2023 Hey that's awesome! You should keep baking stuff if you enjoy it! I love cooking so it's a great match :p. Anyways, were they good ?
lululamb Posted August 16, 2023 Report Posted August 16, 2023 I tried to make pear jam over the weekend and it was a bit of a fail. It didn't set but the cherry and blackberry jam I made did, even though I didn't even add pectin to that one. Just my luck. But they both taste really good! I added bay leaves to the cherry and blackberry jam and lavender and chamomile flowers to the pear preserve. It's caramelly and smells lovely.

I don’t know how to save jam that doesn’t set, or what causes it (a quick google suggests it could be temperature, pectin, or over boiling), but I bet you can still enjoy the pears over some ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes? 😊 My partner said it was because I didn't leave the core and pips in the pears! I didn't pit the cherries and that's why the cherry jam set (according to him) 🤦🏾♀️. Total facepalm but at least now I know, haha.
