Guest DaddysLolita Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I spilled chocolate milk on a few stuffies this morning by accident when I knocked a cup off my night stand I'm going to move them away but I was wondering what others do to clean theirs, I don't want to put them in the washer. 1
Little Miss Ambrosia Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 From what I know (from my mum) you can put them in mesh/cloth bags, pillow cases, something along the lines and just run them in the washing machine, on cool gentle cycle. 1
lilvioletcub Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I'd suggest hand washing them gently
Kat Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 If you do hand wash them, just make sure to really squeeze out the water as much as possible, and let them air dry well. That's what my mom always did.
Guest DaddysLolita Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to hand wash them
Guest littlemissragamuffin Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 I always just put them in the washer. But I've always been told to handwash them or to use a rag to wash them off
Littlest_Lushie Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 If its one of your most prized stuffies, I totally understand that you wouldn't want him or her in the washer. I will never put my Moosey in the washer, just doesn't feel right. But, another one of my stuffies thats lower on the totem pole (yes, I know, I'm a bad momma,) I took into a bath with me and used my favorite shower gel to wash her. I wrung her out well and kept her outside on a comfy chair in the sun to dry out. It seemed to work fine- but I can only imagine what this does to inside of the stuffie. bleh. I would all around recommend hand washing, that way its a super loving and caring act- you get to connect with your stuffie(s) much more! I wouldn't recommend the bath thing, but then again, I have no idea what happens to the inside or if it dries 100% or not.
Guest Ginger-Kit Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 One of my stuffies needed to be washed pretty badly (he's going on 10 years old) and I didn't know how else to wash him so I zipped him up in one of our pillow cases and washed him on 'delicate' and cold in the washing machine. Then I dried him on the 'fluff' cycle on the dryer. It took awhle since I wasn't using heat, but he came out good as new!
