Fluffy Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Howdy, recently I got into a relationship with a girl whom we both initially believed to be vanilla. With my help we discovered that she definitely is not vanilla, and possesses a few kinks. We believe that she identifies as a Little (she is still learning and exploring this idea, but everything she's found so far confirms this). However, one thing we've firmly established, is that she does not feel comfortable calling me, "Daddy," for reasons not worth going into. Personally, I love the name, it makes me feel fuzzy inside, but I don't want to make her do anything she isn't comfortable with. So, my question is, what are some alternatives to being called, "Daddy?"
Guest MyDaddyMyWorld Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Your name maybe? Why does she have to call you a particular name? I call my daddy handsome, gorgeous, and his actual name lol.
Fluffy Posted November 10, 2015 Author Report Posted November 10, 2015 Your name maybe? Why does she have to call you a particular name? I call my daddy handsome, gorgeous, and his actual name lol. Due to a previous longterm relationship I no longer like being called my first name by my significant other, unless it's in a serious or important situation. Obviously we both have plenty of nicknames for each other, but they're all kinda in the same category together, not the same category as "Daddy" would be for me. "Daddy" gives me a special feeling when I hear my Little call me it. I'm trying to find something else that gives me a similar feeling. Something that isn't just thrown into the same category as other names.
Guest Pouty Kitten Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 There are users on here who call their partner Papa, Teddy, or Bear. Would "Fluffy" work for the both of you? I think she should find whatever feels comfortable for her to use.
Foffy Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I would let the both of you develop your names over time -- it's a bit difficult for us to give you useful suggestions, because we aren't, well, you. That being said, "Sir", "Master" and any other names involved in D/s could work. A lot of DD/lg relationships have pet play or animal names involved, so "Papa bear", "Papa kitty", "Teddy", etc. also work well for a lot of couples (though Papa is pretty much just Daddy by a different name). Miscellaneous silly words work well: I like ridiculous names like smoochy, popcorn, and other silly words based on the person's personality. You could literally just pick something you love about them and make a name based on that. Lover, love, sweetheart, darling, "my love" in whatever language, and other traditional pet names also work well. 2
Guest MyDaddyMyWorld Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Any name she calls you should give you that feeling. If you are her daddy, a simple word doesn't mean much. But if it's that important, maybe have a conversation with her. And being unable to have a partner use your name sounds very strange to me. I'm sure you have reasons, but it makes no sense at all to me. You're going to have that name a long time. Maybe work on that. Just my opinion. 1
BH_Bambi Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 Sir! Mister! Uncle! Master! Captain! Papa! Or a nickname personal to the two of you ^.^ 1
Fluffy Posted November 11, 2015 Author Report Posted November 11, 2015 Sir! Mister! Uncle! Master! Captain! Papa! Or a nickname personal to the two of you ^.^ Coincidentally, her and I came across the name Mister earlier today. I think that's the one that's gonna stick(:
Guest Leilah Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Daddycakes, Papabear, and Sometimes my Daddy is the Big Bad Wolf
pigeon Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 He likes to be called "Sir" because he's English and proper. But I know He's just a lovable softie on the inside so I come up with silly names for him... Like, Buttersquatch!! Cause he's big and hairy like sasquatch and sweet like butterscotch!!! But Mister Bear is always my go-to pet name
Kittenkisses248 Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 I call my daddy BaBa it is subtle enough to be said in public and it has been his nickname long before we discovered DDLG together. He calls me BeBe
