Animal crossing is really whatever you want it to be!

 

At first you will probably want to upgrade your home and get more animals in your village to make things more fun.

 

You may want to focus on collecting something or making your village look a certain way, just playing dress up and enjoying seasonal events. There is an app called DodoCodes that you can use to safely visit other islands or allow visitors to come to your island. They do trades and raffles there too.

 

Oh and get the nintendoswitch app too, you get to read a cute island newspaper and when you start up you get some prices.

 

Once you have been playing for a while you might be interested in getting the expansion pack, I love it!!
