So my Daddy and I both have faith and I see our union as a way to make ourselves better and work together in a manner that doesn't overturn but rather is smiled upon by God. But I know a lot of people would be outraged by this. Do any of you have faith? How do you make faith and d/s or bdsm even out?

Care to define what you talk about when you say spirituality? I'd say spirituality is a very broad thing, but discussion of God narrows that discussion.

Hello there :) I'm not a religious person so that's not an issue for me,but to me what you just said in your first sentance"I see our union as a way to make ourselves better and work together" to me i feel like you just answered your own question lol..if i was you i would just try to think of it in that way how bdsm helps you and your bf be better people and be more connected with eachother and i don't think god would be against something that does that.good luck, hope that helps some.

I'm a recently born again christian and I don't think there's anything wrong with a bdsm relationship. Bdsm relies on a lot of trust and care not to mention love. Whether sub or Dom you're always giving to the other person which was basically what Jesus was about. He gave his life to save us.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" john 15:13

I don't mean to sound preachy but that's how I personally feel about bdsm and faith.

I'm not sure how discussion about God would narrow a conversation regarding spirituality...spirituality includes religious customs, does it not?

My Daddy has spiritual beliefs, but after many years of searching, has decided he doesn't feel comfortable following an established religion. I am a Christian who can't seem to find herself a denomination that includes all of my personal convictions (somewhere between Lutheran and Mennonite?) So I usually say I'm Anabaptist, which is fairly broad. I see sexuality as a divine gift and therefore am not at odds with my faith and my lgbt+/bdsm orientations.

Daddy and I are Buddhists and I am an ordained dharma teacher. Our spiritual practice gives us the foundation for a wonderful, peaceful, loving relationship, but it doesn't really come in to our DDlg dynamic.

You know, your personal belief is your personal belief. It shouldn'to matter what others think cause your the one believing in it, not them. God loves everyone(if you believe in God and what the bible says.) So if you love and believe in God, God loves ands believes in you. I don't think God would have a problem with people being happy, ture to themselves which is loving who they are. You'are not hurting anyone, like murder or stealing. It's your life, no one but you can tell you have to live and what to believe. There is no right or wrong to being who you are.
