Sad in Little Space

Hi Everyone!

Whenever I get into Little Space I get super sad. I just want to cry. 

 

Does anyone else experience that too? And why does that happen?

 

Unfortunately I don´t have a caregiver to comfort me.

There are times when Daddy helps me in to little space that i cry. Usually its because i have a lot of big emotions going on and grown up stress, and my little self can't handle it. The crying is just a way of relieving the pressure for me and letting go of all those big feelings for just a minute. Before my Daddy came along, it would still happen, i just curled up small with my pillowcase and hid in my bed until the feelings subsided and then carried on with the rest of my day <3

Hiya, 

 

I have experienced that feeling all too much the last couple of weeks whenever I am in my headspace. As Miss Patch said before, it can be due to the overwhelming stress and big emotions I have building up and then poof, everything comes out at once. Your headspace is meant to be a safe space so it totally makes sense for you to go through the motions of whatever emotion when you do regress. It's okay to cry and to let it all out, whether you are feeling big or small. Its actually better to let it all out than to keep it in and let it build up. 

 

What I tend to do when I am feeling overwhelmed and am in my headspace is to just let it all out; there is no point to keep it in because that makes it worse for me. I don't have a daddy/CG either and that can be quite hard sometimes but there are things that you can do alone to make you feel a little better. After I cried everything out, I put on my fairly lights and get a really big blanky to get cozy under. I try to create as safe of a space as I possibly can so that I feel okay and at ease in my headspace. See what your comfort items and activities are and try to incorporate them whenever you feel like that in your headspace. The last thing you want is to associate those not so good emotions with your headspace. 

 

Your favorite snacks and drinks can also help a lot, especially if you are crying a lot. A fun sippy cup or bottle can encourage you to drink more water in the moment.
