Guest Account deleted Posted July 27, 2021 Report Posted July 27, 2021 Well, first... Hello You're not doing anything wrong but I feel like starting with Hello is always a good start. But I'm very old-fashioned hehe! =3 And then, don't be sorry. Good job on reaching out and welcome to the forum! I hope interacting with like-minded friends will help you explore and develop your Little headspace in a way that feels good and safe to you. Take your time, there is no need to rush things, it's fun to explore..! From my own observations and experience, I would say an effective way to slip and enter little space is by actually physically doing something that safely brings you back to the age your Little is. All 5 senses can help and since it's brand new to you, you might need to try a few different things.. Touch and play with Playdough? Glitters? Slime? Smell and eat chocolate chips cookies? Listen and sing that favorite childhood song? It can also be triggered by any ritual that you used to have as a child.. Maybe a nap with your favorite plushie? A bubble bath with toy baths? Easy coloring pages or jigsaw puzzles...? Finger paint? Chicken nuggets? Walking barefoot in the grass? Watching snails? Rummage in the attic? At first you might slip only for a few minutes.. And that's ok! Don't get frustrated Your brain is adjusting. No matter how much you want it, there might be a part of the big you fighting to come back at the surface because slipping into Little Space can be a bit scary sometimes, even unconsciously. Just remember that it's OK to do this, you have the right to learn about your Little Self and Space, and it doesn't have to be spectacular to be precious. Just breathe.. Relax.. Don't put so much pressure on your own shoulders.. Baby steps, ok? The mind will follow.. Let go of expectations.. And it will happen naturally. Sending positive, happy feelings your way! Xxx - Bee 4
ScarletBaby Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 I can relate to this. I haven't been able to connect with my Little very well in a long time. I think there's a couple reasons for me and I'm working on them, but I know it's probably different for you despite my being able to relate. I wish I had real advice like the last poster, but all I can say is that you're not alone. I try to get myself to slip when I feel I can. Like you I feel my little self right below the surface begging to come out but can't seem to push big me aside. Right now, I just have faith that it will improve and that I'll be able to reach a true little space some day.
