DaddysMonkey Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 ...... Hi. *waves* If you had the chance to be famous , would you ? What would you want to be famous for , if you got to chose ? Why would you chose fame , or chose to stay “normal” ? How come ? I would chose to be famous. If I got to pick , it would be for making people laugh and be happy. Not necessarily a comedian , but a humorous life speaker perhaps ? Someone who speaks on human nature and how to make this planet better and treat everybody better.... but with some gewd jokes thrown in there. I would chose fame , not for the actual fame. Typically when you’re famous , you have a lot more pull to make changes in the world. You can influence more people to do the right thing. When famous people speak on important topics , there’s much more coverage on it. It would be wonderful to help make big changes in the world just because you have a bigger platform. I suppose this isn’t very deep , regardless I’m curious what people would pick and why.
Little kaiya Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 I would 100% pass on being famous. There is a lot of pressure that comes with being famous and people are always scrutinizing and judging famous people for the smallest mistakes and imperfections. Although being famous can provide a platform for change it also means giving up freedom and privacy. I'd rather just be able to be myself without people looking for hidden meaning in my actions. I'd rather live with my Wife and boyfriend and be able to walk the streets without additional pressure and staring eyes. To be fair, I've h always taken more if a behind the scenes role when it comes to change and I'd rather continue creating space for others by doing so quietly than in the spot light. 1
SmolAetherr Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) no way in a frozen hell would i chose to be famous, as a guy being famous usually leads to accusations of sex scandals and any women i talk to being the topic of gossip on every trashy journo page not to mention literally anythin i said online in the last 10 years being the topic of controversy and scrutiny hard pass i like my quiet life where i can be a cis white male in peace Edited March 29, 2021 by Aetherr
junebug0325 Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 I actually really like this question because it forces you to think about all the possibilities and scenerios surrounding being famous or not being famous. I would say... if I could be rich and not be famous, I would do that. Celebrities go through so much in their day-to-day life, like privacy violations, rumors, hate, hackers, etc. As much as I don't think of myself as a sensitive person, I definitely could not take all the hate and all the eyes that are watching you on an everyday basis. I mean, just look at tabloids. I couldn't imagine my face being on one of those with a story that is absolutely not true. So if I could have the money without being famous, I definitely would. But hard pass on being a famous celebrity. Junebug x.
Guest Teasing Tink Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) When I was a kid, I wanted to be famous because I was vain, naïve and starved for attention, perhaps. Back then, I wanted to be an actress. I only realized as I got older, that wouldn't ultimately make me happy because I'm an ultra shy/private person! lol If I had to be famous for anything, it would probably be for my poetry/writing since that's my passion. I don't like being in the spotlight, I'd prefer to be famous in an anonymous way as a ghost writer, but it's practically impossible to stay anonymous these days with the internet and all as has already been mentioned. That's my version of a nightmare. People picking apart my personal life as if it's any of their business. You can hate/criticize my work all you want, just don't attack me on a personal level. Though I guess that is kind of attacking me on a personal level since I put my whole soul into my writing lol. Still, it's different. I don't think it's everyone's life path to be famous so I just kind of believe things happen for a reason. Everyone has a purpose. I believe in the Ripple Effect so I believe you can still create great change in the world even if you aren't *directly* influencing everyone. An entire world exists within every person, after all. You can't always see how big your impact is on someone either. Just one small action of yours can create a much bigger ripple if your influence on that one person causes them to touch even more people. I believe the tiniest, most overlooked things can often make the biggest difference. But then we get into The Butterfly Effect. Edited March 29, 2021 by Teasing Tink
