My last LG had DID. She was my first, how common is this?

My last LG had 6 personalities, 2 had little sides, 1 was actually 8yo. I had never run into this before. I was curious if this was a rare occurrence, or if it was more common than with other relationship types.

I have been involved in 5 other DDLG relationships in my life, including my first which involved 3 "sisters". But I had never come across a LG that had completely separate and different personalities before.

I don't think it's very common. I've seen a couple littles (and a daddy) on here before say they have DID, but the vast majority do not.

Perhaps people with DID commonly have a child personality. And maybe some of them want caregivers to help them with that part of themselves. But as far as I know, DID among littles isn't more common than amongst the general population. I'm not an expert, so don't quote me though.

So this is a bit of a controversial opinion, but actual DID is very rare in general so littles with DID would be even rarer.

I always felt like it was a very unique situation, but my LG felt otherwise. It certainly required patience and time to learn how it works and it presented some challenges. But it was definitely the most rewarding relationship I've ever been involved in.

DID is a rare psychological condition, so I wouldn't imagine that many littles have it. That being said there seems to be a reasonable crossover of littles and mental health so I guess its possible that DID would be represented more in a little population than a non-kink population. However it certainly isn't common.

I think people with DID are more represented in age regression communities because they are likely to have alters who are children or who age regress. I see way more of them in these communities than anywhere else. Age regression is often a result of childhood trauma, same as DID.
