Guest ♥ Lee ♥ Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I need some advice on how to stop myself from being so sad when I miss Daddy. I'm lucky to be able to live close enough to him. He recently went on vacation to North Carolina. He's only been down there 3 days but I want him back now. I'm lucky enough to live close enough to him that he visits once a week but I've never had to go a whole 3 weeks without being held by him. I don't know how to handle it. Its been 9 days since I've seen him and I have like 13 more to go.

But late bow cos he's already gone, but a good thing to do if it happens again is for him to give you a series of tasks to complete for his return. Can be anything. My daddy set me fun ones like picking out a style of engagement ring I liked, thoughtful ones like writing down a list of things we shared that showed intimacy in our relationship, physical ones like particular pics to take and send him, and my usual tasks if a daily diary to send him, and my usual daily pics. Stay in contact as much as you can, by text, instant message, Skype etc. Also, again, can't do it now but next time ask for a t-shirt that he wore that day on his last visit before he goes. Keep yourself busy. That's the best thing to do. Read books, draw, write a story, go for long walks, workout, watch funny movies, bake (or learn to), make a to do list for every day and tick it off as you go etc.
