Overall Confused

I joined this website back in 2017 when I found out that I was into ddlg. The overall lifestyle of realizing you want a caretaker & someone to bond with has really always stuck with me, & something I felt I always needed. However, I'll be honest, I don't really feel as welcome like I used to be. When it comes to just discussing in general, I always seem to pop into the chat at wrong times, or It's just completely dead. It might just be my bad timing though.

This is not a personal, but just a vent I suppose. I needed to let off some sort of steam.

I've been deceived a lot on here. Whether that be someone who's told me they liked my personal, wanted to get to know me, etc etc. I still very much would like to give this website a chance, and make friends on here. I used to have friends on here but they seem to of left a long time ago, so now I don't know who to really bond with. It takes me a while to open up to people due to my shy nature, but I genuinely do like having friends & talking with others.

Another thing what's bothered me is, the amount of disappointment I've had on here. I seem to never even really have any luck in finding someone who would like to get to know me, maybe take a next step. I did once or twice, but one dd I found had cheated on me, then the next one basically ghosted me. So I tried another website called fetlife. But.. It has too much porn advertisement on it.. and the overall website is too complex in my opinion, I get confused on what to click and where to find certain things. Blame that on my adhd mindset. Prone to easy frustration & get confused easily.

One thing I have learned is to never give up, so I will still be staying on here, popping in every now and then. I still want to make friends, and maybe one day find someone who I could bond with well. Just letting time do It's thing.

I can relate to this. I Ghosting will always be rampant online sadly, the only thing you can really hope for is that someone is showing serious commitment. It's not just this site, it's online dating / relationships in general. If you're ever serious about someone, it's probably a good idea to be up front about it and demand some commitment too from them. I wish you the best of luck of course. Everyone deserves to find someone nice.

I believe that's been a lot of peoples' experiences here.

I don't think you're on "at the wrong times" for Chat, it's dead a lot of the time. People stopped wanting to go there because of cliques and highschool drama, I think.

 

I don't think it's specifically a ADHD thing @ having trouble navigating through fetlife. It's set up a lil weird, and the in-your-face pornography is very confronting lol I left it within a day or two of signing up. It felt more like a porn hub + facebook amalgamation than a community lol

 

I hope you manage to find some better friends at some point. I noticed you've had a lot of username changes over the years, it's possible that some of the people who left and came back got confused by it and didn't realise that you're you. Especially if they deleted and came back on a new account and therefor had no conversation history or friends list to refer to. But I agree that overall it's hard to find good friendship online. I'm lucky to know a handful of cool people, but it definitely took a long time and a lot of sifting through trash people to find them.
