I’m sorry for intruding on your space, but a I’m looking for help with a project I am working on for the Littles. With your help, I’m hoping to include Middles and Caregivers next year.

My project is to create an Advent Calendar (Shhhh! It secret!) I got the little days planned out but need some ideas of what a Caregiver & Middle (I’ll ask them later, they’re easier) would like to see on an Advent Calendar. Some of things I have for the Littles is story time and crafts etc. With that in mind, please share your ideas. I thought about memes, and a craft or two you can make for your Little/Middle and that is all this brain can think of. See I need ur help.

I also need thoughts/help on posting this calendar. I would prefer it be interactive where the day can actually be clicked on and opened, but I need ideas on hosting and maybe design. Thank you for any help you are willing to give!

This sounds like a cool project!

I'm about as computer-literate as my 80 year old gran and can't help at all on the web hosting end of things, but I have a middle side, and I think it would be neat to see

~ more complex colouring pages (at least, ones that aren't intended for preschoolers...)

~ those games where you fill in words, like you're asked for a "noun" or "adjective" or whatever to fill in blanks, and then those words become part of a story that you don't know anything about till the end? So of course the words you choose have nothing to do with the story and the story you get at the end is really ridiculous? I have no idea what those games are actually called lmao so if you have no idea what I'm talking about I don't blame you

~ riddles or puzzles to solve

~ fun holiday recipes ('cause we're old enough to use the oven ourselves with supervision!)

Thank you! Those are really good ideas. Some that I can probably add to this year.

BTW- those silly stories are called madlibs where I’m from.  :D May I request friend to bounce some ideas off of?

Re: Posting

If you're doing it for the community and not for anyone specifically, maybe you could create a topic for it and add the activities and whatnot via comments per day?
You can edit then link to the comment in the top post.

People can also "Follow" your topic to keep updated on it.

I will create a mock version at the bottom of my comment to try and explain better.

You could employ the help of Smile Club to post the daily surprises, if you don't think you'd be able to get on daily to do it. We just didn't have time under our belts to create the actual content to go inside of it. But we'd be happy to help out with other stuff if we can.

I know it's not as interactive as you'd like, but that's one way to present it on the Forum.

Otherwise there's this site. I don't know if you have to sign up to use it or anything like that. https://calendar.myadvent.net/?id=6660d6a578f3c2afecaeb07ad5cdf43b  [sfw]

Re: Content Ideas

I have "Care Packages" in the WSS Server, which send out a lil digital pack of selfcare things to a user. It has things like ASMR vids, Funny Animal compilations, Upbeat/positive songs (but not cringy), a lil "handwritten note", Audiobooks, Lo-fi Jazz and I forget what else.

I am asking for help again.

I think my Christmas Advent Calendar was a success and I have been working on trying to make this year's event bigger and better but time has gotten away from me and I am looking for someone who knows Adobe Animate that might be willing to help me try to learn enough about the program to try make what I'm imagining happen a little faster than watching YouTube videos. If you are willing to help, please PM me with the subject Adobe Animate. Thank you
