Cher Bear Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 How are your days? Do you slip in and out of little space or caregiver space? How do you control it? As an adult that slips into my little space very easily. I feel a bit self conscious. I'm a mother and will skip into little space with my kids. Especially my son. So I'll find myself in public getting looks from people because I'm just as excited as my kids. Because I'm acting "immature" so it's very judgemental. I know it's nothing to be ashamed of and honestly because I can slip into the mind of a child it helps my parenting because I can understand their feelings better. I'm rambling heh sorry
Vampiress Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 (edited) I don't slip in and out of it easily because I am self-conscious and it makes me feel vulnerable. I have gotten better at slipping into it though. I think that's great for your relationship with your kids. I am sorry people are judging you for it, but it's harmless and I'm sure your kids love it. Bearly Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 I still have to actively trigger littlespace, but I enjoy some childish things as an adult, so I can relate in a way. Thankfully people in public are nice about it when they notice I have a plushie with me or something like that. 1
Little kaiya Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 My littlespace isn't something I just slip in and out of and for that I'm very glad. Littlespace is a vulnerable state for me that I share with my incredible Daddy and loving wife. 2
Cher Bear Posted October 21, 2020 Author Report Posted October 21, 2020 I wish I had more control over it. I never understood it until I did research. I always wondered why I was different from other "adults" and Moms. It seemed they didn't react like I did. My husband has honestly helped me so much and stepped up and became a daddy to let me enjoy my little space and feel safe in it. I have trauma from an early age, and never got a childhood, so it's kinda like I'm getting a second chance in those moments.
