What Age Regression Feels Like vs What Nonsexual Age Play Feels Like

While I have been teeny for a few years now, I'm still new to the communities themselves and would like to hear other people's experiences and opinions on what the two feel like for them.

 

I am going through a very painful and difficult time in my life concerning this subject, as I feel invalid. So I would like to learn as much as I can so I can to properly navigate myself through all this confusion.

Though DD/lg can be very sexual for me, there are plenty of non-sexual moments for me. I think the main difference between me and an age regressor is that I can pull out of it. It's not my mind using it as a coping skill to deal with stuff. Sure a lot of us age players can have traumatic pasts but we're more in control of our littlespace. For me I can get myself in and out of little space, it's mostly voluntary in the sense that I am not actually regressing to a child-like state of mind fully. I am still completely in control of myself and able to consent to things. In the back of my mind, even if it's deep down, I am aware that I am an adult and that should I need to be handling something like an adult then I can and I will. I get the sense that age regressors can probably regress voluntarily, but I imagine a lot of it involuntary. It just happens, kind of out of their control, and when they are in that headspace they are basically like an actual child and trying to engage in something that a minor shouldn't engage in can be extremely damaging to their mental and emotional health. Non-sexual age players know what consent is, and they are fully mentally present and know what they're being asked to do if it's inappropriate and can choose to say yes or no.

 

Another important point is that all age players should be 18+ but age regressors don't have to be.

Vampiress hit it pretty well on the head. I'm in control of my Little Space and when I enter it or exit (typically). I don't imagine age regressors have that option.

Vampiress covered up everything. I'm an age regressor and it's not in my control when I slip into little space, there were times when I did slip into little space in the presence of my parents and friends but they brushed it off thinking I'm being cute or fooling around.
