Hiya! So I can sew blankets (you can find some of them here) but I have a problem. See, my doll has some clothes but they're newborn sized. She fits best in preemie, but I couldn't find the outfits in that size... Do you know how I'd go about adjusting the sizes? It's mostly things like the pants being too long, too loose, or the top having too long of sleeves or it's too baggy. Sometimes I like them baggy but I'd like it if the collar wasn't nearly halfway down her chest ;w;

If you sew or anything though, I'd love to be friends! I don't know many others who sew.

Hello! I know the basics, I never learned how to use a machine. I much prefer embroidery.

It sounds like you could shorten your pattern or hem the clothes? I'm not sure you could do that with something like footed onesies, but most of those problems should be a quick nip and hem. The collar being loose in the back sounds like you might could take in quite a bit from the sides, but I think the collar would still look oversized - though that can be a cute look! Pants are a really straightforward alteration, especially with thinner baby clothes. Shirts can be harder because there's a lot more measurements that go into that. I couldn't find a lot of resources for making baby clothes smaller, but I included what I could.

Here's a couple links I thought might help:

https://www.thegoodtrade.com/features/how-to-hem-clothes-yourself

If you want to try to make your own: https://sewing.lovetoknow.com/micro-preemie-clothes-patterns

I hope this helps a little!

I don't know how to sew but I checked out your insta for your doll and OMG. That baby doll looks so real! That would be dangerous for me to have as I think it'd make me want a real baby too badly. lol. Very adorable doll, though! Love the clothes!

Okay, I sent you a friend request on here! It wouldn't let me send you a DM without it. My user on insta is the same as my user here. I don't separate my accounts, except for the fan blogs for games lol

I sew cute dresses, lace cuff socks, bibs, skirts, sweaters and so on. I draw my own designs and make my own patterns, but I’m only self taught ^^” therefore don’t know all the tricks of the trade.

I'm just learning how. I have been sewing masks like crazy during this whole thing, but my friend is going to teach me how to make cosplay costumes and I want to learn how to make little gear and dresses for myself :)
