Hanging out with friends together, as a couple: advice

hi littles, 

 

i love how i am with my bf and i'm almost always in my little space with him... but i never know how to act with him in front of our mutual friends. i feel like they don't really understand us, or our relationship, because i present quite a different dynamic with him when we are hanging out all together. at the same time, i don't necessarily feel close to my bf, because it is kind of putting up a show, if that makes any sense.. i guess in order to fit the "norm" that my friends expect. I don't know. What am i afraid of? how do you littles hang out with your bf or s.o. when hanging out with mutual friends? any advice would be really appreciated~~

I think it depends on what aspects of your relationship you show around your friends. Ultimately this lifestyle is considered a kink and because of that you cannot express your kink in front of people who have not consented to it. I don't assume you're asking if it's okay to do things like wearing diapers and using pacifiers in front of your mutual friends, but still give thought to each thing you wish you could do in front of them and ask yourself if it would be considered "kinky" even if it might not feel that way to you. If you have a child-like personality and things like that, it's totally okay. There are people not even into the lifestyle like that. It's just how a person is. Some aspects of some of us littles might just seem quirky or cute or maybe a little "immature" to people we know, but wouldn't be considered so weird to the point that they would treat you negatively over it. I think a good thing to do is talk to your boyfriend about this.
