I’ve been told that I’m not really approachable as a little or sub in general that I come off as hostile or temperamental. I really don’t have a lot of people to talk with this about and not very many little friends but I was wondering if someone might have advice to help me out where I’m more approachable and make people feel welcomed. I know in the long run it will also help my dom too.

Thank you!

I don't think you need to change yourself. Sure, if you learn to be more approachable you might get more people approaching you, but would you feel like yourself if you did that? Would it feel right? There is someone for everyone, I strongly believe that.

Now, if you do wish to be more approachable, some advice I got some years ago was to always make sure to ask questions back, even if you just mirror their question back at them. Also try to use some smileys to alleviate some harsh sounding words.

No matter what though, remember you are good as you are.

A lot of people out there think little/sub=doormat but this is not the case, you just need to find someone who will not be intimidated by you, not necessarily a brat tamer (unless you are into that) because not all littles who are strong willed are necessarily brats.

When do you get hostile or temperamental? if it bothers you that they start to treat you like their little when you are still strangers then set boundaries and make it clear you like to move slow and you need to build your connection with your caregiver first for example.

It could also be that you are a middle and don't like to be babied or even if you are in the toddler little age range you might feel like a "big girl" and very proud, that is ok too, just keep being yourself. What do you mean by not approachable? online in person or both?
