Should I change my stuffy?

Recommended Posts

The other day I was messing with some fabric and realized I had all the stuff to make a stuffy of my daddy, so I did. When I showed him it he got upset I made a mini him but quickly back tracked and said he liked it when he saw he hurt my feelings.

Since then whenever he sees it or it's mentioned he gets upset. I'm thinking of taking some more yarn (I used that for hair) and turning him into a pirate stuffy instead. My daddy told me before I don't have to change it, but it's obvious that it upset him. I personally don't want to change it but I don't want too keep upsetting my daddy.

What should I do?

Thank you :)

Can I ask why it upset him so much? I think it's a really cute thing that you made half stuffie of him. My personal opinion is that maybe you change it but make the changes like an accessory. A hat an eye patch or something can be added or removed. So it can still be him but not be him?

He didn't like it because he thought it looked like a voodoo doll because whenever I make a stuffy they have button eyes. That's a really good idea thank you very much, I think making removable accessories is the perfect idea. :D

why don't you use his favorite theme, like what you see as something he likes a lot, then use it as a theme for the stuffie am sure he will like that and you will love making it for him..... a win win situation.

would it be possible to change the eyes? instead of having the buttons he's not a fan of maybe just sewing shut eyes or something [kinda like the uwu face or nwn]? that would be a simple change and maybe it would make your daddy more ok with it? :0
