Guest Little_Laney Posted July 18, 2020 Report Posted July 18, 2020 I'm just curious. I am divorced with 2 daughters (ages 10 and 4). I have given so much of myself to everyone else so far in life and I am FINALLY taking time for me. I have been letting my little side out a lot more now after having to suppress her for so long. Are there other littles who are having to balance being a parent as well? I must say, it is kind of nice because my girls and I do a lot of activities together, like coloring, playing with L.O.L dolls, watching the fun shows and movies. But, I don't go full blown little around them because I still have to parent, obviously. Like I said, I was just wondering if there are others out there in similar positions.
Guest SparklesLove Posted July 18, 2020 Report Posted July 18, 2020 Hi. I'm a parent too and can completely relate. Being a parent and being a little brings its own challenges and there are times when were able to be little.
RainDoeSprinkles Posted July 18, 2020 Report Posted July 18, 2020 Yep! I'm a mom! My kids are not little anymore, but we sure had a ton of fun playing when they were! They seem to understand and accept my preschool kid qualities and always have. It makes life fun! But of course, as a mom, there has to be balance and use of discretion and good judgment! There's time to be fun and silly, but they also need to know that I am the adult in charge.
Nymph Posted July 18, 2020 Report Posted July 18, 2020 Married to Daddy with a 6 year old energetic boy... and I am super girly XD I am a middle though so that helps, even when I am not full blown adulting I can take care of him and I am pretty independent and responsible so it hasn't been much of an issue, he is a very manly little man though so it was hard to relate. I also always tried to dress him up with cute hats and such but he would just take them off, between ages 3-5 he was offended by any hello kitty merch he would find around the house or pink stuff, but he has learned to be more flexible and accept mom even if she likes things he doesn't to the point he will sometimes play cutesy games with me and some games are too simple for him so he plays more complicated stuff with Daddy.
