Cindersoot Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 Hello... I'm not sure if this is strictly little related, but it's little related for me, so I hope my question is ok... Does anyone else have a problem with fainting? I have had quite a few bad fainting spells before, and it's always when I'm overwhelmed or overstimulated - even if I'm in my little space. My most recent spell was this past weekend, and it wasn't little related this time, but I've had problems before as a little and it can really hinder things. Fainting scares me and I can never sense the warning signs. Is there any telltale way that you can sense when you're close to collapsing? Or any warning signs that I could just be missing? Please let me know. I could really use some advice. Thank you!
Cindersoot Posted October 14, 2015 Author Report Posted October 14, 2015 Thank you guys! I've had fainting issues for years. And it only occurs once in a while. Maybe just once or twice a year. But still isn't any less scary. I've tried talking to doctors about it, but a lot of them say that it's just me getting too overwhelmed. I will try small snacks and drinks throughout the day. And maybe make a little nest for when I feel ill or have a spell.
Cindersoot Posted October 14, 2015 Author Report Posted October 14, 2015 I've had specialists before and so many blood tests it isn't even funny. But nothing that determined anything serious. My blood pressure is fine. Good vitamin intake. Nothing odd or peculiar. I don't really recall any sensations before ever fainting. I don't even know when I do. The first time I fainted, I thought I just fell asleep on the floor, even though the last thing I remembered was picking things up around the house. I never remember actually fainting. Everyone just tells me when I come to. It's instant.
daddyjames Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 My sister had issues with fainting and it turned out she was anaemic. If you have the opportunity to ask your doctor and it isn't something they've tested you for already, you could ask for them to look at that. Anaemia is a deficiency of iron and it's something that can be treated. Just a thought, and I hope you feel better soon! 1
chubbylittleseal Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I get it when I have really bad panic attacks; for me I get kinda tunnel vision and can almost kinda feel it in my body if that makes any sense. Sometimes breathing as deeply I can will help and going somewhere soft so if I faint I will not get hurt. I don't know if that helps any but i totally feel your pain. Fainting sucks and is very scary.
Guest littlemissragamuffin Posted November 10, 2015 Report Posted November 10, 2015 I have vertigo, so I get dizzy and faintish a lot. Sometimes my head gets all wobbly and wavy, sometimes I get tunnel vision and everything turns black. I'm pretty good at handling it now, I've been dealing with it all my life. They tried making me do psyical theopiy for it, but that made it wrost. I'll take Meclizine pills on really bad days to stop my head from spinning, wobbly wavy fuzz.
Guest LexiGremlin Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 Does the dizziness/fainting happen around your period? I know that with me I have PMDD, which is Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. I've been known to feel dizzy or pass out and get really sick around a week before my period starts. As well as mood swings (sudden depression, anger, etc). PMDD would not show up on any tests as it is similiar to PMS. You would need to bring it up to a doctor or a gyno.
Guest DaddysLolita Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 I've fainted twice in my life. The first time was when I was a teenager, they diagnosed it as idiopathic syncope which is a fancy way of saying "We have no clue why you passed out", I was in the bathroom brushing my hair or something and passed out, hitting my head on the toilet (Ouch) and then again probably a year or so ago, I was about to eat lunch in a restaurant and I got really hot, everything started to tunnel and went black, next thing I know someone is trying to give me water while I'm lying in the middle of the floor. Again, diagnosed as idiopathic syncope. It's definitely scary when things happen like that for no rhyme or reason.
