Hi, I was just wondering if any of you love Studio Ghibli movies?? Because I absolutely love them. I've watched a total of maybe five which are Kikis Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Ponyo. My absolute favorites being Kikis Delivery Service and Spirited Away coming a close second. I've been considering watching Howl's Moving Castle since I've seen it appear everywhere. But what are you guy's favorites?? Any reccomendations??

I've actually only watched Princess Mononoke, but I really liked it. I've been meaning to get around to watching some more Studio Ghibli stuff but just haven't gotten around to it yet!

Spirited Away is my favourite, but Totoro is a very close second, followed by ponyo, then Howls moving castle. I love anything Ghibli, and if i ever get a pet, its either gonna be called Haku, Jiji or Calcifer >.<

Aaa Princess Mononoke is so good! You should definitely watch more if you get the chance they're really nice to enjoy and so beautifully animated.

I love Spirited Away so much. No gonna lie I cried when I first watched it. We must protect Chihiro and Haku they're so cute. Also Ponyo is another great one it's so adorable makes me just wish i could be a little fish and then be able to go back to a tiny child. Also that legit would be so cute if you ever get one. I have a Jiji stuffie that I got last year and aa I die it's so soft.

YOU HAVE A JIJI STUFFIE!!!!? Where did you get it? OMG. I love Jiji. He's that cranky old man who is so sweet at the core.

Off of just picking one, Spirited Away has to be my favorite!

I think the only thing outside of Miyazaki in Studio Ghibli I have seen is Grave of the Fireflies which was also really good.

AAAA yes i do!! I got it last year during my trip to California in this really cute Japanese store that sells a bunch of stuffies. I love him so much too. I'd die to have a cat like him because I feel like im the same way cx We must protecc him.

Spirited away is such a great pick, literally such an incredible movie.

I haven't seen Grave of Fireflies, but I've heard of it and seen it around the internet. I'll def check it out and add it to my list!!

We should never go to Japan. All our money would go pooooof.

I feel like I've learned a lot about myself watching Spirited Away. Watching it in increments of my life. As a kid, as a teen, as a young adult, and as an adult adult, it's just always has given back to me in the sweetest ways. Although I never spot being scared of big obese No Face. xD

Grave of Fireflies. That's a movie I find myself needing to be in the mood for. It was on a list of movies that would make you cry but maybe I'm a heartless grouch with no tears. haha. Still a recommended watch.

While on the subject of recommended watch, Studio Ghibli does WONDERFUL short animated one shots too. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but one of my favorites was about an egg princess trying to venture her way back home (with her side kick Mr.Bread) while the villainous witch tries to capture her. The witch looks like Yubaba which was amusing.

Honestly knowing me, I'd spent every cent even though I'm more of the saving money type. I'm such a sucker for cute things and Japanese culture. Legit they could have all of my money.

But also I love that!! I first saw Spirited Away like several months ago because I remember seeing so much hype about it and the animations just looked so beautiful. I checked it out and I remembered I just sobbed. I have to be in a certain mood to watch it as im vv sensitive, but it's still an incredible movie. Chihiro's personality really resonates with me.

Also I didn't know Studio Ghibli did one shots. I always thought they just had movies some being older than others. I'll def have to check that out too. I know they were working on a new movie with a different animation style. But I don't remember the name. I don't know how I feel about it, but they always make great movies so maybe it'll be good.

I think Howl's Moving Castle was one of my favorites. Other faves/recommendations: When Marnie Was There, The Secret World of Arrietty and The Tale of Princess Kaguya.

I love Studio Ghibli movies! They're all really good but my favorite is the Cat returns it's not super well knows but I like the idea of there being a cat world.

It's not Ghibli but one the artist from that studio made it. I watched last week and it's super cute too it's called Mary and the witches flower. It's on Netflix and worth a watch.

Howl's Moving Castle is my favourite; it's my go to when I'm feeling ill or sad. I also love Ponyo and Whispers of the Heart, and I've also seen The Cat Returns an Spirited Away. I think Totoro is on my waiting list. I love the animation and visuals of Ghibli, but especially in Howl's Moving Castle. All the fields and wildflowers and also the vaguely victorian inspired aesthetic is SO my thing. I love the Baron from The Cat Returns, he's so charming and handsome~ i feel like he has some low-key Daddy vibes too hehehe
