Hello! So I'm just needing some insight and help to something that I'm just stuck on.

My husband and I have been into the ddlg lifestyle, and I feel it suits us pretty good-at least I'm pretty into it. We've tried multiple times to really go full force with it, but it eventually dies off and things go back to normal.

I just don't feel he's into it, nor is it in his wheelhouse.

Any advice on how to push it back down inside? He may not need it in his life, but I do and I'm struggling with what yo do. And please, don't advise me to talk with him, it goes nowhere.

you said you both tried to "go full force" with the whole thing, and maybe thats the issue here? Pushing for something makes it feel awkward and not a natural progression, it can cause resistance if your partner is not as ready as you are to immerse in something like this. Maybe just dial it back a bit, keep things light hearted and fun, and just see where it goes?

We haven't pushed for it in that sense. But I get what you mean. For like three months it was totally good and a great lifestyle but then it just falls off and goes no where. If I never push than it just goes down the drain...i guess I just need tools on how to keep it in my head lol

i dont really have any advice on burying a fundamental part of your personality, i dont think anyone should have to do that for the sake of others i think you may want to be open to the option of looking for an external person to act as a caregiver or reconsider the current dynamic/situation with your husband, he may be happy with the way things are but the thing is that you are not happy and regardless of any other factors that is still a problem

Bringing someone in is not an option in our case. And I agree that it shouldn't be pushed down, but that's the only option I have left.
