Littlenicole40 Posted June 20, 2020 Report Posted June 20, 2020 It’s just me, myself, and I - no daddy here.... new to this. Well, for years I’ve been interested, but new to really trying harder to find a real relationship but in the meantime, I want to spend more time just being little on my own. I mean, I don’t need a daddy for that, right?! I feel a little strange - a grown up going to look at toys and stuff. Does anyone else do that? Or splurge on things for yourself? If so, totes curious - what do you get yourself? I really, really want my own stuffed animal, but always imagined that I’d get one or my first one from my first daddy, like it would be some big special thing, but maybe I’m just being silly. Anyone wanna help me decide on some fun things to get? I dunno if I should go online or go walk around n a store - that seems silly but also seems like so fun to me to pick up things and look at them, touch them, and decide just like when I was a kid ya know? 2
Satan Posted June 20, 2020 Report Posted June 20, 2020 I go shopping online and in person for little stuff on my own yes. (Before having a Daddy) I have gotten stuffed animals and pacies by myself and no one said anything or looked at me funny. I was kind of nervous but I guess they figured I was buying them for a baby lol My Daddy did help me pick out some coloring books online. (I rarely find coloring books I like in person.) I definitely splurge for things for my little self. I have a growing collection of stuff. Stuffies , pacies, collars , coloring books and a few onesies. Lots of cute socks. I even have a princess tent I've set up in my art room. I think as an adult the best thing is you can buy what you want. (As long as it fits with in your budget of course) If you want toys and stuffies you'd like to touch in person I say go for it. I hope you find some awesome stuff! 1
Eversky Posted June 20, 2020 Report Posted June 20, 2020 I made myself a glitter time out bottle a couple years ago -- didn't have a Daddy and still don't, I just thought the idea was neat to have... if and when. So I wandered through the craft store, it was fun to pick out the glitter and stuff for it. Hobby Lobby is the one I went through so it has lots of stuff I ended up just browsing through, like the jewelry making section. Sometimes I wish I had little friends locally too so we could gush about the cute things. 1
Bearly Posted June 20, 2020 Report Posted June 20, 2020 As a member of the toy collecting community, let me tell you: 99% of people won't judge you for buying toys in public as an adult. Picking one out yourself can be fun, and you'll get one that you like! Coloring books are popular for littles, too. You could also get a sippy cup, artd/craft supplies, and snacks meant for babies/toddlers. Parents go shopping alone for their kids all the time, it's no big deal to walk around a store and pick things out for yourself. 2

Lol Maybe not a Sippy but a kids like cup. I’ve never wanted like a paci or bottle but how fun would a cute little girl cup be?! Ooooh now I really wanna go out! Wish I had other littles to go on a shopping date with. 1
RavenclawPrincess Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 (edited) I do it all the time! At most I've had a cashier say something by way of casual conversation for the sake of being friendly like "Oh, this toy is so cool! Whoever is getting this is going to be very happy" or something like that. In that case, I just talk about little me in 3rd person and say it's for my niece or something like that ("Yeah, I'm buying it for my niece. She loves Disney Princesses" or something like that), and random people are none the wiser Edited June 21, 2020 by RavenclawPrincess 2
Nymph Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 Yup, all the time. I don't feel weird because people will probably assume I am shopping for a niece or something. If I need help I don't really explain myself... except funny enough, if it's something that is not obviously for children, then I feel a bit silly and say it's a gift, like one of my adult sized hello kitty scarves for example. Online I just go wild and get whatever lol, if you feel shy about it you can start with your phone/tablet/computer screen savers and games. You can still have special gifts from your daddy when you find him, it will be special because it comes from him and/or you chose it together but if your heart is set to have a super special one perhaps you should consider build a bear, make a cute playmate for yourself and when you find your daddy you can go get her a boyfriend that reminds you of your daddy :3
RoraDaExplorer Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 I go shopping for myself fairly often. I don't mind walking around the toy section. If people are weird or you feel weird you fan mention its for your neice or nephew's birthday. I love when significant others give me stuffies as gifts but honestly it doesn't happen much so I don't count on it.
RainDoeSprinkles Posted June 21, 2020 Report Posted June 21, 2020 Hi Little Nicole! Oh I am so glad you asked!! Yes! Shopping for things that nurture your littleness is sooo fun! It was about 8 months ago when I realized I was little. Looking around in shops turned out to be one of the ways I explored my little space! Any store Inhappend to be in...CVS, Ralphs, Cost Plus, Target...I would find the kids section, orbthe isle with toys, crayons, etc. and I would ask myself, "what makes you happy?" One of the first "little" things I bought myself was a tiny, plushie journal from the Claire's kiosk at CVS. I was a teeny bit nervous that the cashier would know it was for me, but I did it anyway! I got my first stuffed animal as a little on New Year's Eve, at Ralphs! The softest, most cuddly rainbow unicorn! He just took one look at me and then jumped straight into my arms! Yep, I hugged him right there in the store! He is very special. Buying him for myself was a big step for me in coming into my identity! 1
lilmiss3141 Posted June 23, 2020 Report Posted June 23, 2020 I personally love shopping for little things... I don’t mind if people may look at me odd, but to be honest, I have a 5 year old daughter so it is very easy to pawn off my purchases as Hera. Even so, I have no issues buying things. 3

I totally get this, I'm 100% fine buying myself stuffies and clothes (stuffies I always buy in person because I NEED to feel them before I buy them; but clothes have the be online). BUT the one thing I'm hesitating over is a collar; I adore the idea but I have this desire for my first collar to come from a daddy (don't have one either) and for it to be super special. However you should totally get yourself a stuffie; you can always have a super special one that your daddy buys you later but for now having one will help you express yourself. Also if you are worried about buying toys in kids shops don't be; I've found that people really don't care. I recently bought myself a new bunny and the girl was just like 'I know aren't they so soft, you're going to love him'.
