How do you add a little bit of "little" to your bedroom?

I just got this tapestry that kinda adds to the "creative, magical" feel I was going for to my bedroom. But it's hard to find that line between "cute little space that feels like me" and "I can bring my college friends and relatives over here and not worry about it" haha

I added little fairy lights around my headboard, and soft colors that go with my middle sense of style.

I have foam mats with numbers on, I remove them if someone is coming over that I don't want to see :)

Oh my, I love it! I don't think you have anything to worry about. As for me, I guess Im more shameless about that stuff. I have my barbies, my little ponies, Hello Kitty tea set and stuffies in plain sight and don't care who sees. I like what I like.

I have all that stuff too tbh, but in little storage things I keep under my bed. I still live at home though so I need to be a little discreet with so much family always around. Thankfully I have loads of little cousins, and an excuse to keep a bookshelf of kids books and a toybox haha. You And I sound like we have similar styles XD

I made a canopy out of stuff I had on hand! ( quarantine, you know!) I made a circle out of a wire hanger, covered it with satin ribbon, then hung it by ribbons from the ceiling at the head of my bed. Then I attached long pieces of tule, (the gauzy fabric bridal veils are made of) to the circle with clothes pins. I covered the clothes pins by attaching fabric leaves with hot glue. I was surprised it turned out so pretty! The proper way to make this kind of canopy is with an embroidery hoop. But I love how mine turned out!

Yes! Absolutely! Also, I think it would be cool to change the colors of the tule and the decorations on the clothespins to go with the seasons too! Or you can have it reflect your core aesthetic! I will post a picture of my canopy in my gallery.

Have fun!!

I'm not even going to try to pretend that I'm subtle with things like this. My side of the bed is a stuffie pile, I have lil paper mermaids that a very dear friend made taped to my vanity mirror, I have a small collection of picture books on my dresser, I have coloring books clearly visible, I have a Disney princess toy cash register that I use as a calculator ("so my stepson won't want to steal it and lose MY stuff" because he really does do that) etc. Thing is, no one that ever comes over thinks anything of it. It's pretty well known that I just super love cute things and no one seems to connect that to being a little unless I specifically tell them. I think in a way little girls have it easy because we can openly be into the cutesy stuff like teddy bears and whatnot without raising suspicion, whereas little boys might get looked at funny for having "little" things around.

this sounds so cute and adorable and a great way to use something you already have and can be interchangeable !!

I’m having a hard time trying to find a balance.... When I live with my daddy in the future he wouldn’t mind living in a nursery but I don’t see why he should.. It wouldn’t be fair.. So I have some of my stuffies and pix and a little bit of pink and my nappies and essentials for nitey night and the rest of the room is fairly neutral.. The play room is the toddler space!!

I love this.  I am thinking of getting a 'littles mat' to put out in my room and collecting some toys etc....that I can pack away in a toy box.

I have a Loft-Bed with lots of plushies on it and other cute stuff !

Like Care-Bears or a cuddly Blanket.

I often buy stuff that is for like child/baby-rooms as decoration and use it just for myself
