Little kaiya Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) If she says one thing and does another that is a reflection on HER not on you as a person or on you as a Caregiver. I suggest having a serious adult to adult conversation about what you BOTH want, it isn't just all about her wants, yours matter just as much. If her behaviour is frustrating you and causing you to just give up that's a pretty major red flag suggesting more communication may be needed. The fact that she's also lying to you, whether it's about bedtime or something else, would be concerning to me. Lying in a relationship for whatever reason, is just something I personally find very concerning as it usually speaks to much larger underlying issues. Edited May 8, 2020 by Little kaiya 2
SmolAetherr Posted May 8, 2020 Report Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) you need to ask her what she actually wants because it sounds to me like a whole mess of mixed signals and thats not ok you need to explain to her that if she wants a bed time for example then you expect her to actually go to bed when asked and if she wants to be bratty or either of you wants punishments she needs to talk to you about that beforehand so you two are on the same page also consider doing a bit more research online about ddlg the two of you give the impression of being new and if i am correct it is important that you discuss safe words and boundaries and consent to be sure you are both getting what you need from the arrangement also all of what kaiya said i think you two may want different things or atleast she likes to push your buttons and gaslight you about it which is not okay, i suggest you bring that up and how it makes you feel because in certain situations gaslighting can be considered abuse/abusive and it can lead to more unhealthy things Edited May 8, 2020 by Aetherr 1
