Littles feeling different to themselves when big.

Hi, I've been looking online and trying to research this but can't find anything that fits.

So the thing is when me or my partner go little we sort of feel like we're different to our big counter parts? This is in a sense of when we go little and look in the mirror it doesn't look right, when big time things happen and my partner is small he prefers the more masculine side/parts of me (I'm non-binary btw) and to be on bottom over taking control and finally he doesn't feel completely masculine when small and says that he likes the thought of wearing dresses but when big non of this is the case.

The reason that I'm writing this is that resently both littles have been getting upset a lot more recently over this and have said things like they "don't feel real". I know that D.I.D might sound like it but neither of us have severe childhood trauma that would have caused D.I.D and no other "alters".

If anyone can relate or suggest something to look into I'd really appreciate it.

I'm not sure but it sounds like it may be a type of dysphoria in little space?

Yeah that is partly it but there is also a sense of detatchment from who we are when big and thats what seems weird. How can our little counterparts be different to us as bigs.

It could be a case of dissociation caused by slipping deep into the little role. You may feel you are like a different person when you are little and thus making the big you that you see in a mirror feel like a totally different person entirely,

I hope that helps <3
