Where do cats' nine lives come from?

Good question. Not many people know this but cats are not from our world. "Nine lives" refers to their lineage, not how many lives they possess. They were forged in the hydrocarbon pits on Titan. They were used as foot soldiers and did all of the hard work. One day during a battle exercise a small band of them escaped in a pod and ended up stranded here on Earth. They quickly adapted to their surroundings and once they realized humans found them adorable and would take care of them and not the other way round. They began to evolve into the lazy, pretentious, yet lovable creatures that we allow to keep us as their pets.
