For Littles that want to decorate their Pacis

Hi Everybody,    

 

I have seen quite a few posts on here where Littles asked how to decorate their paci or where to get the big pieces that they have seen on other people's pacis.

 

So I thought I am leaving this post, in the hope to be able to help with this, because nobody was willing to tell me what I needed to decorate mine.

 

First of all get a plain adult paci.
The ones from LittleForBig are quite nice

 

The big pieces that you will put on the paci, you will have to make yourself using resin.

Best to use UV resin, because it's easier than having to mix it and then waiting for ages for it to dry

 

Find silicone moulds of the form you want it to have, then you use resin and nice stuff to put in.

 

I would suggest that you look for a pack, that has already most of what you need in it to get you started

For my own paci I used a heart & it took me several months of ordering heart moulds over heart moulds until i found the heart I wanted

But in the end I was lucky and found the perfect one for myself

 

Then for the writing I used Clear Acetate Sheets [https://tinyurl.com/vq8v8k2]

 

Unfortunately the ink from my printer isn't waterproof, due to this the colour dissolved in the resin, plus the print out wasn't too strong to begin with & so far I wasn't able to figure out how to fix that

So what I did instead was printing out the words and then putting the sheet over it then copying it with a permanent marker with a thin tip

 

Of course instead of writing you could just put cute stickers into the resin as well, or even little beads that have letters on them.

 

As you can see on the picture, I used also glitter and little hearts ... so here is a bit of a warning    

 

  YOU MIGHT END UP WITH GLITTER ALL OVER YOURSELF     

 

Here is a real warning though ... to get rid of bubbles in the resin, you can use a lighter ... however please be careful to not burn your fingers like I did. 

Best to use one of those lighters that have that long bit so you are not having the flame touch your skin!   

 

When it comes to colouring your resin piece, please don't use too much colour or the resin takes longer to dry or might not dry at all, at least if you use liquid colours ... you also don't need to put the colour into all of the resin.

 

There was this silly video on YouTube where a woman tried out how long colours took to dry & i think her problem, especially with the black colour, was that she used too much of it, so it was not possible for the resin to cure properly.

 

If you use UV Resin, fill the mould bit by bit and use the UV light to dry it in between. Then just before your mould is full only mixed a little colour into it & then use the UV light again & after that fill the rest up with more resin.

 

As you can see on the picture, even though I only used the colour at the end it looks like the whole heart is pink. 

The same with the little bow in the corner

 

There are YouTube videos that are telling you how to use the resin, that are very helpful, so I would suggest to have a look around. 

 

When you start gluing things onto your paci, don't use PVA glue or things will keep coming off and leave you frustrated - and if you are like me, you will end up doing tantrums.   

 

What I found worked best for me is a glue gun. Make sure you use one that gets properly hot or here as well ..... Tantrums ...
